I have previously reported on the Blackhawks have millions of dollar in terms of only a dozen players for 2010-11. Even before the Olympics began efforts to bring order to it, when Cam Barker was sent off to Minnesota in exchange for Kim Jackson, who will be UFA this summer. But to make room for Duncan Keith, Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews new contracts need more supply. Probably lost Brent Sopel and any player in the three million class, such as Dustin Byfuglien and Kris Versteeg.
This is cool. The Stars are my favorite team but I love the Hawks. The Stars intro home video for this year used "Welcome Home" by Coheed and Cambira (for only a portion of the season, then changed the whole vid, including the song) which I think is the perfect song for any intro ever but I liked the Pirates of the Carabian song. I also like the players skating through the streets of Chicago.

It is MICHIGAN that has the largest amount of registered amateur hockey players in the USA (look it up). We didn't just create this name for marketing. We came up with it because it is true. It helps that the Wings have also won the most Stanley Cups out of any US-based franchise, but I suppose you wouldn't know anything about winning those.
@jackhitts08 I'm aware that Michigan has a good amateur hockey program, but so do many other states like MN, IL & NY. And wasn't it the HAWKS who were playing in Helsinki this year at the NHL premiere? I know w/the education in Detoilet its hard to realize Helsinki is overseas, its ok. J.P. Dumont is not a loser, Mike Smith traded him away because he couldn't see his talent, and then he went on to have a successful career w/ Buffalo and Nashville. On top of that, how could you desecrate Doug Gilmour's name when he came to an ailing Hawks team and still was able to score 20 goals at the end of his career?
doug gilmour was supposed to come to the hawks and help develop the young guys, yet he looked really disinterested and you could tell he was begging to be traded. same with that assclown Theo Fleury. God i hate those two.
as for dumont. if he was really talented, he should have been able to carry that team but he can't even hold the jock of the current blackhawks we have now who show the desire and the drive to be champions. i don't give a fuck if dumont scored 50 goals, he wasn't a leader

Even half of your downtown is abandon. Yeah Chicago has some shitty areas but it sure as hell doesn't look like a damn bomb was dropped on it. @Brutananadilewski007 In any case, I'm fairly certain that Detroit already IS an ambassador of hockey. It's us who gets picked to play overseas, not you. It is MICHIGAN that has the largest amount of registered amateur hockey players in the USA (look it up). We didn't just create this name for marketing. We came up with it because it is true. It helps that the Wings have also won the most Stanley Cups out of any US-based franchise, but I suppose you wouldn't know anything about winning those.

And wasn't it the HAWKS who were playing in Helsinki this year at the NHL premiere? I know w/the education in Detoilet its hard to realize Helsinki is overseas, its ok. Just b/c Detoliet has absolutely NO sports teams worth mentioning besides the Wings doesn't make you some special hockeytown. The Wings are going to be done like the Islanders dynasty in the early 80s, the Oilers in the mid/late 80s, the Canadians in the 70s & the Maple Leafs in the 60s. I don't quite know if they're "due," but it's nice to see them good again. It sucked (well, actually, it was awesome, but kinda boring) not having any rival in our division for 15 straight years.

HAWKS RULE & WE ARE FINALLY BRINGING THE CUP BACK TO CHICAGO THIS YEAR! If we could only make a deal to get Huet & his huge salary out of Chicago and bring in either Halak or Price from MTL we would be completely solid! MTL has been rumored to be talking with the Hawks about their goalies & reported that Halak & Price would be trade considerations. Either one would be amazing to have on the Hawks & definitely take pressure of rookie Niemi, who has really deserved Huet's salary this year!

I wasnt born until '94, so I would have never experienced the time where the Bulls and the Hawks were both amazing (and when the NBA would play defense), but its nice to see at least one team in Chicago is actually doing good. 15 years of disappointment from the Cubs........

J.P. Dumont is not a loser, Mike Smith traded him away because he couldn't see his talent, and then he went on to have a successful career w/ Buffalo and Nashville. On top of that, how could you desecrate Doug Gilmour's name when he came to an ailing Hawks team and still was able to score 20 goals at the end of his career?

doug gilmour was supposed to come to the hawks and help develop the young guys, yet he looked really disinterested and you could tell he was begging to be traded. same with that assclown Theo Fleury. God i hate those two.
as for dumont. if he was really talented, he should have been able to carry that team but he can't even hold the jock of the current blackhawks we have now who show the desire and the drive to be champions. i don't give a fuck if dumont scored 50 goals, he wasn't a leader
