  • you should do a make upp tutorial for the make up look cuz its amazing:)

  • You've got beautiful hair! It's an amazing braid:) I from France and I never seen that before!

  • OMG. I had no idea that your hair would stay in place if you twisted the pieces opposite like you've done. IDK why it never occurred to me to try that, but thank you. Hahahaha.

  • ...You missed a hair :(

  • In Australia we usually say plait for normal ones, but we say french braid... haha :) love your videos x

  • Love you!

  • watched the john frieda version. but i like your plait more.

  • I say both and I'm American....

  • i say both and i'm australian!

  • OMG! You are so beautiful! Wish I could have been born with red hair, totally adorable!

  • Ooh this is pretty! :)

  • we say both really, but plait is more describing the bigger one and braids are the littler ones :)

  • in australia we say plait (:

  • LOVE the colour of your hair!

  • Your halo braid is so much better than the John Frieda version!!

  • haha i know! its so confusing when you live in australia! its a plait! lol

  • In australia what you did I would call a braid because you gathered hair whilst doing it but if you plaited a ponytail I would call it a plait :)

  • In Australia, if its a normal three strand braid its a plait, but a french braid is a braid! Very confusing! :L

  • we say braid!

  • I love the music

  • pritty but u got dsckchne

  • youre pretty.

  • You're too pretty. It's not fair ;/

  • I love your hair.it is amazing! I wish mine could be like this :(

  • you seem a little birdy

  • i love your videos!!! i know you get this alot but your hair is gorgeous!!! <3 keep making hair tutorials!

  • You're soo beautyful! x

  • yeah in australia we mostly say plait

  • whenever i do this i feel like the weird lady in 50 first dates.

  • You look like master chief xxxx

  • I have been trying to think of the person you look like for ages. You might not like it but you look SO like Una Healy from The Saturdays! So pretty! :) <3

  • I watched the John Frieda video... And honestly I like your way better... I think it looks more cute :]

  • I'm from the US n I've never heard the word Plait before. You should do a video about british terms! I love listening to british lingo its so interesting!

  • Like the new shorter length of the videos, didn't relly like the ones that lasted 10 mins :))

  • Rat tail 5:07 :P Hate it when that happens. You spend ages on a hairdo which turns out perfect..then you notice the tail.

  • :) in australia we use a bit of both but mostly plait. I always say 'french braid' instead of 'French plait' but the rest of the time i would say plait xD

  • you're so beautiful! love the hairstyle!! :)

  • I think your hair tutorial is alot more wearable and flattering than the John Frieda one

  • Will you do a makeup tutorial for what makeup you have on in this?

  • lucky u have long hair !!

  • "and away and forward, aaand away and forward..." hahahaha

  • 1:24 wat O.o

  • When you add in the hair, do you add it to both strands or just one? If one, which one?

  • Jess this is so weird! I did the SAME hair a few months ago! I'm going to link the video so you can see! LOL

And thank you for the tips about John Frieda! I'll check it out for sure!

  • what do you use to edit your videos? x

  • I love the braid/plait debate that has developed! The more I watch youtube the more I say braid! x

  • there was a purple bar at the bottom of the screen did anyone else notice this?? what is it :/

  • You're so beautiful! :)

  • Jess, please, please stop being so gorgeous!

  • In Australia we call it a plait if there is only 3 bits, and a braid if you're adding bits as you go along. :)

  • So so so glad you did a tutorial for this. Even though i will never be able to achieve it.

  • thanks =)

  • You NEED to do some more makeup tutorials ! I miss you :( xxxxx

  • I love ur makeup in the video especially the lighter coloured lips! x

  • this lip colour seems better on u! i also like when u wear dark colour on ur lips, but this makes u look younger!! and lively!

  • I have the same problem with growing out my fringe! This is great to keep it out of my face! xxx

  • Im not tryna be rude, this is a genuine question but errrrr, is the tail at the back, part of the look?

  • I think a braid is that thing you get done on holiday where they wrap cotton round a small section of hair or loads of tiny plaits, a plait is the one with 3 strands that's not attached to your head and a french plait is where you add sections to attach it to your head :)

  • in Australia we say plait normally when we just have three sections of hair and that's it.. braid usually means you have three sections originally, but then you add pieces or drop pieces, like french braid or waterfall braid :)

  • I LOVE your eye make up!! can you do a tutorial for it pleeaase?? x

  • Your hair is sooooooooooooooo beautiful!

  • you look like a mushroom

  • In australia, it depends. I used to think braiding and plaiting were two different things! Then I learnt how to braid/plait and learnt that they weren't, so, yeah.

  • it is nice! but i think that this hairstyle look way better in your : december fav video

  • In Australia we say both :)

  • Can u tell me where do you find all these great music?

  • Oh that one stray hair!

  • I watched the John Frieda video and I love yours way better! :)

  • I'm from australia and I call it a braid when I add hair in my plat (french braid)

And when I don't add hair it's just a plain old plat :)

  • @izzie10boe me 2!

  • What nail polish are you wearing? It's lovely! xx

  • Your so pretty. It is unfair :) I could never pull this hair tutorial off.... I have a question: Do you watch the BBC show Merlin? I freaken love Morgana's hair, and I have a feeling you could do an epic video of her hair and makeup!!.... please?

  • I'm from Australia, I say braid for French braid and plait for just the plain... Plait!

  • by the way, you remind me a little of rooney mara, who i think is one of the most gorgeous girl in the industry right now :)

  • so beautiful!

  • YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!

  • Your good

  • Think you could make a video talking about your favorite music type , artist . ect ? Please ? Thanks <3

  • JohnFriedaNL? Don't they already have the channel JohnFriedaUK?

  • In Australia a regular braid/plait is referred to as a plait, but when more hair is encorperated (Eg a French Braid) is called a braid. :) Love your video's, by the way~

  • Could you please do a make up tutorial of the make uo you are using today? (: Thank you! X

  • "American English, Whatever" xD I died a little.

  • Hey Jess,

i have to say that this kind of braid are not very common here in Brazil (yes, i´m brazilian and a HUGE fan of you and your videos!), and i totally loved it! please keep making other hair tutorials like this

    kisses prom Brazil :)

  • ops..'is' not very common*

  • This is very pretty btw i love your shirt alot!! <3

  • in australia we say plaid but if were doing a french braid like the ones u do in sections then we call it a braid im pretty sure its the same in england :)

  • @taylalovexx no in britain we only say plait, french plait :)

  • @taylalovexx nope, in england they're all called plaits.. the ones where you add bits are called french plaits (:

  • braids are 'french braids' and normal ones are just plaits

  • In Australia we say braid for something where you add hair or start higher up on the head but a plait for something that starts from the longer bits of you hair...if that made any sense... :)

  • your beautiful <3 :)

  • Australia says plait :)

  • WHERE IS YOUR SHIRT FROM PLEASE ANSWER ME!!

  • @roxyygirl012 H&M x

  • love it

  • Can you do this with layers?
