Not sure if I ever actually heard a tuba solo before but this one is really fantastic. Usually the tuba doesn't play the melody but this one sure did on the solo. Really impressive!
oh, my dear jackjiezhang, in Brazil, there is no such thing as "black" or "white" band... We are ALL multiracial, my friend! That comment was not only racist, but very uninformed. They did a beautiful job playing this song. Let´s stick to music, shall we?

My only regret is that I was not there... It only increases my wish to visit New Orleans some day!

Awesome. One of the best tuba solos I ever heard. I repeat the experience at least three times.

Really nice rendition of this tune. So many people play this music way too fast. ("Race horse Dixie," they used to call that...)
The tuba chorus was worthy of anything I've heard recorded from the twenties.

Poor Buddy Bolden. He went insane before his work was ever recorded. We'll never know if he played jazz.

This is pure traditional jazz as I want to play!!
Buddy Bolden's Blues played by the new generation New Orleans Jazz musicians.

good job to the white boy band, but Dr.John still does the best interpretation on this tune.

Maybe but they did just as well as many other black boy bands I've heard

I don't like the expression "white boy band." There are great black jazz musicians and great white jazz musicians.
