  • with practice its really not that hard

  • nice : )

  • Incredible... I am speechless. That is just.. oh god

Those are the greatest city camo pants I've ever seen

  • Hey man, cool lesson! I learned some new shapes from this (still getting it to speed). Also pretty cool inclusion of the triplets, got some new tricks today ;)

  • betcha i can play that

  • The large arpeggios over 5 strings and 6 frets are fucking hardcore to play. To play clearly.

  • next jari maenpaa

  • Amazing, dude! I'm currently learning how to play arpeggio sweeps as well :)

  • I would argue that it is advanced as anything. Compare it to sax, for ex. I play a note on guitar.. one finger, one downpick, voila. It sounds as long as I hold my finger. A sax needs to be fingered with a unique combination on both hands. The note sounds with my mouth and tongue and much more can go wrong there than just with a downpick. The note will not continue unless I keep supporting it evenly with my lungs and again, lots can go wrong. Guitar is faster, but mechanically easier.

  • it soundz really good = )..iz that original?

  • very good. and guys, a betcha can't play this is supposed to be that creative. usually its just a linkage of arpeggios and scales played really fast and CLEANLY so that the guitarist can show how good he (or she) is.

  • badass!!\m/

  • Tab download failed!?!? NOOOoOooOO

  • Easy.

  • Nope, can't do that - never will be able to. :(

  • Epic, and Yeah I'm pretty sure I can't play that since I can't get my right hand to play slow and the left fast x) They always go at the same speed LOL

  • i like the way that sonds mon

  • bad ass hah

  • hahahahahahahaha I love the people who talk shit about these obviously very good, very technical guitar players. It's all just penis envy in the end. These "Betcha can't play this" things are meant for guitar players to show off and play things that are overly complicated, not to show people the slow, most sappy ballad, heart felt guitar solo you can think of. Oh, and people who bitch about shredding most likely can't do it. Just sayin'. hahahahahahaha

  • This shit gets old real quick...

  • BEAR SHARE ^_^ (Sorry, just a random moment)

  • FUCKING NICE!!!!

  • Betcha I wouldn't want to play that.

  • @RoacheDBowl betcha you're saying that because you can't

  • nice harpeggios

  • PRETTY GOOD MAN.

  • Hey this sounds like a NES game

  • are you human?

  • @banag11 are you idiot ?

  • @MagnumBullets47 that was compliment child...

  • @banag11 i know, idiot compliment by the way. x (

  • @MagnumBullets47 an idiot*

  • i dig the diminished sweeps in between

  • Duuuude!! Props! I think you're exactly at my skill level. Ima learn this shit pronto.

  • when you sped it up, it sounded like a classical music piece =). nice

  • @NewModel7 ahha, you said how fast someone can finger ^_^

  • Beautiful fingers.

  • @AxlRemix or perhaps I actually know a thing or two about music and realize that the electric guitar was made for more than just showing off how fast someone can finger frets

  • well i can play it, but not as clean, but its still very impressive :) keep it up

  • !!!

  • nice pillow!! :P

  • That was awesome!

  • id say those seymours rival dimarzio

  • very jason becker....ish......

  • i dont like sweeping too much, its ok every now and then but some people just rely on it too much

  • @sixxteddy yeah, i used to love sweeps, but all the shitty mainstream death metal bands use them in every riff now

  • fucking sick

  • When a pianist plays an etude at blistering speed is music....when a guitarist plays the same etude with an electric guitar with distortion is shredding(with a classic guitar is still music..lol) get your heads out of your ass people and stop trying to discredit what you cant do or dont like.

  • @Dreamdancer11

Agreed. It's an unfair double standard.

  • @Dreamdancer11 Dynamics is a huge deal though. Electric guitar doesn't really have much dynamic. Especially playing this kind of stuff, every note is just kind of ON or OFF. But with piano each individual note has to have dynamic control (from each individual finger on *both* hands). So there is a difference...

  • @getkristan Dynamics are a huge deal in every instrument. But you are missing the point here. And the point is that there are stupid miscoseptions about instruments musicians or styles of music. You cant say the same piece of music "shredding" in one instrument and "art" in another.Either are both shredding or both art. There is no superior or inferior instruments musicians or styles no matter what the purists of this world might think.

  • @Dreamdancer11 I hear what you are saying.. people will roll their eyes and say "OMG he's shredding again" at a guitarist, but not at a concert pianist, or klezmer violinist. I think there is at least a bit of reason in that "shredding" virtuosity isn't as advanced as other kinds. For ex., you say dynamics is a big part of any instrument. You wouldn't think so from watching YouTube shred masters. Other virtuosos are expected to play fast *and* slow. Sad and happy. Shredders just shred.

  • @getkristan Its as advanced as anything.Of course there are the mindless shredders and the really accomplished ones just like in any other instrument. The only difference is that electric guitar is not considered as.."equal" from the purists.Even the term shredding is insulting and biased.Double standards all the way.The bottom line is music and its the same whether is coming from a violin or from an electric guitar. The orchestral instruments arent the norm anymore.Welcome to the 21st century.

  • based on serrana

  • Nice wallpaper and bed.

  • holy shit!

  • love your manly flowered pillow

  • i think its sick man i might try it out im fairly desent are arps

  • on piano it would sound so good

  • betcha theres a lot of people who can play this... betcha theres hardly any who can write it

  • Technique : 100% correct

    Feeling: 0%

    Music: 0%

Sure it's hard to play that, but come on that sounds like crap and nobody can listen to it for more than 30 seconds...

  • @ottou22 he was playing sweeps . wasn't try to play a solo with feelings. only because a guitarist post a vid of them sweeping dosent mean that is all they can do ..fucking fag

  • @reaper140008 Aww, don't get too mad. I didin't say that's all he can do. Get your facts right before you post. Fucking fag. ;D

  • @ottou22 sais the guy who can't play... feeling comes after technique with age :P

  • @ottou22 Congratulations! Either you completely missed the point or you wanted to show everybody how knowledgeable you were about ´feeling´. ´´Betcha can´t play this´´ is ALL about technique. Nothing else.

  • Very nice, sounds very good too, though the end kinda broke the melodic feeling of it i'd say you could work on that just a little bit. Your technique i'd say it's flawless so PRETTY FUCKING AWESOME :)

  • good playing but comon do something better than shredding

    it all sounds the same

    play some classsic rock solos

and get a less ugly guitar

  • i can play that :)

    good job man

  • at first i thought i could play that because you were doing it uber slow, then......uuuum

  • wow dude! super clean! nice playing tumbs up! do u have tabs? coz i cant play it :P

  • minor and diminished arpeggios ftw

  • I really like the flowers on your pillow.

  • playng still and so speed and clear very god

  • certainly I can't play this XD

but it's far from sounding good

so I think a betcha can't play this should be both difficult and it should sound good n.n

  • Diminished is always fun.

  • cool

  • fucken cake!!!

  • wooot=O how you can play like that =o

  • Nice and smooth.

  • can you translate it to regular tabs? I don't have guitar pro or anything like that ):

  • Excellent sweep technique.

  • Comment removed

  • i cant download it @_@

  • BADASS wow nice sweeps

  • WOW !!!!!!!

  • i think you deserve to be in a band, man. that shyt sounds GOOD! you need 2 things though:

1). a new guitar (ESP is good)

2). a rhythm guitarist to back up that solo.

get those things and this would be some of the most epic thing i've heard in a while. sounds a lot like Necrophagist.

  • Hey Nicolasfxx! Your opinion differs from ours, so we're going to mark you as spam and downrate you! Because that's how we roll, bitch!

    Oh wait, you're right rofl

  • bad man

  • Awesome job, your a fantastic player. Get a nice guitar to represent your ability more accuteratly though, you deserve to be taken seriously

  • @RandallvonGilbert But it is a nice guitar. It's a Jackson Dinky. It just has a lame paint job which im sure he got on purpose

  • i think you have you been Praticing This for Years ! Just ...crazy Sweeps Dude !

  • couldn't play this but woulnd want to . waste.

  • All I can say you want to see some Unigue Guitar Playing check out (George Lynch Mega Shredding and watch the Whole Video....Fucking Awesome Skill and Uniqueness!

  • is that michael angelo's "armor flame"?? I know that this is a jackson and MAB's is Dean, but they look really look alike, except for the colours

  • Those are some of the best sweeps I've seen so far IMO on youtube...

  • yeah betcha play this are usually just short complicated licks...

  • lol nice bed haha

  • Sounds like everything else. Regardless, it takes skill. Good job.

  • at some point all shredding starts to sound the same to me

  • That's when you have to stay away from it and listen to some blues or something hehe. This isn't really shred though until the second half. Shred to me is speeding up the classical arps and stuff beyond what it should be. But yeah, how many guys aren't going to shred at some point even if they did set out to just play true classical? I prefer Marty Friedman more now because he would do a lot of lines for the song then build up to a "solo" instead of all out shred all the time.

  • yah....check out "feel" aka David Gilmore... is it easy to hack?.....ya shouldn't, you should just feel it....and take it further... imagine the first time Barber's Adagio for Strings was heard?... i'm not thinking too many people tried to copy...they built upon. THAT is our sentence for having discovered the power of music....to revel in it, and take it further.

  • I Agree! After awhile it's Like Porno's it all Looks and sounds the same!TOTALLY

  • @NewModel7 best comment about shredding...

  • @NewModel7 true, actually I think that the faster some guy plays, the simpler it gets. Not on fingering level, but on mind and feel level. Usually the fastest stuff is all patterns and stuff, but slow solo's are played with more feel

  • @drugdrunkker Right, at some point it doesn't matter what in the hell your playing it sounds like the power rangers theme song or a bunch of very fast beeps. As much as I am not a fan of electronic music, notice how rarely you hear hyper speed passages in electronic music, this is because it does not sound good and since it would be just as easy to program as a much slower passage, it fails to impress people. Shredding is masturbation, just sayin'.

  • can i say something here?.....ALL...and can i get somebody to back me up here?...ALL of this is Vai's fault!! snippets of Turkish March from "Crossroads"...... to mimick is flattery to the owner, to claim is stealing?... rent Crossroads....you'l see this is all 20 years ago

  • That stuff had never been done before, I mean as far as that piece on an electric guitar. So much classical is redone in different ways on different instruments. There would have been similar tributes by electric guitarists with or without Vai. BUT!!! Would we have all of the cool bar work, diatonic harmonies, screaming harmonics in all the stuff after that? As the standard?

  • as the standard?...it's been done.... the magic of Vai's slight return was that it was NEW....this isn't.

  • nice but sweeping is 2 over rated these days i stell give a five

  • Amazingly clean sweeps, and nice Jackson!

  • Thats cause you are supposed to practice sweeps with lots of distortion ^^

  • Overrated in what way?

  • I think I heard a Jason Becker sweep at the end.

  • What is that Jackson :O

  • You need more chorus and reverb, i can sorta make out notes.

  • wow. that kind of blew my mind, very good job

  • finally a sweep solo with structure

  • clean stuff man :)

  • i can play it at 80bpm! lol

  • Maybe you can teach Herman Li how to sweep XD Very nice!

  • agreed...herman li is actually pretty good but his sweeping technique sucks as

  • Beautiful man! ill try it if you tell me what the tuning is!? lol im the Regular "E" tuning is ok but im always or i always prefer the E(flat) of "D" tuning! ! but yea anyway . . sick man! keep jamming! ill keep listening!

  • That was awesome.

  • Great job,I love the neoclassical style of it,with the sweepings and arpeggios.

  • insane

  • holy fuck

  • First time you played this I was like "How'd he get a 5 star rating? He's not THAT good..." then you played it at full speed and for some reason the guitar sitting next to me burst into flame.

By the way you owe me $400 bucks for that burnt guitar.

    xD

    AWESOME JOB!
