The problem with the ending of the Taker/Shawn match wa sthat it made it seem like Shawn gave up. He's obsessed with ending the streak, he begged for this rematch, he's fighting for his career, and he essentially gave up. He pretty much begged Taker to finish him off, and it made no sense from a storytelling perspective. He should have been fighting until his last fucking breath, not giving up like that.

He knew his limits, he knew he couldn't go on for longer, so while he also gave 'Taker ''permission'' to finish him off, he mocked him with his own signature gesture, and slapped him simply to get him even angrier. He's had a ''rebel, spit-in-your-face'' gimmick for years, and this was a perfect demonstration of that. If you saw the same match as I did, he DID fight for his career. He DID fight until his last fucking breath.
