It doesn't mean anything. It's just a hand signal. Mocidade Independente taught it. Na, didn't do it in NZ. Samba with 9 breaks plus 3 other songs with breaks of their own in three 5 hour shifts? No. I wasn't there for long enough and if I was I probably would have taught them something different anyway. The break's not as tricky as it looks, check the rep...
@zombiefreed - haha just realised how immodest I sound, like, "oh yeah just get the kids to do these breaks" ... We'll give em shot shall we say? Haha. Thanks Fred.
@guava96 - Not really but its a dead ringer for Earth, Wind and Fire's "Let's Groove". Funk n Lata's version (very similar to King Parrot's), Mocidade Independente (similar to LSS'). Hope that answers your question. Fred :0)
@lssbateria - ah thanks. Yes that's exactly where King Parrot got the break from (except we call it 'Egito Break'). And now considering getting the Springwood High School band to do your 'cricket' and 'Adam's Family' if that's OK? They're such cool, fun-looking breaks !
@guava96 - Go for it. Adaams is from Mocidade Independente (Mestre Jonas was in London and taught us, lovely bloke), Cricket break is our brain child, but go fo it, we'd love to see you guys do it on the other side of the planet. Fred :0)
@lssbateria - Yes Mestre Jonas. You guys are so fortunate ! And thanks, yes, it'd certainly be a pleasure to get the kids to do these breaks as they're so cool ! If we manage to do them and get a video I'll be sure to put it up here. I'll tell the kids about the LSS and make sure to credit the 'cricket' to you guys ! Javier : )

Loving the tricky L. O. break. What's "LO" mean?? Was this taught in NZ by M. Fred too?
