It's amazing how far the technology of these things has come. You can look at this boat and tell that it really is more of a boat that was capable of submergence, as subs back then were. Compare it to a modern sub, and you'll see the difference.
yes, gearjammer, you can. i was there two years ago. brilliant piece of the war. still has some bullet holes in her. it was amazing. and its really HUGE!!!
ThatWWII US submarine at Pearl Harbor should be in a dry display as well.
