  • Interesting movie ... funny how all the older films are so dramatic and over-acted. I wonder how ppl really behaved in 18th century Russia. Still, a neat movie. The sets were a bit off (What was with the statues and log cabin walls? Didn't Tsarina Elizabeth live in Tsarskoe Celo and the Winter Palace?) ... Crazy that Catherine actually ruled because in reality she did steal the throne to which she had absolutely no claim.

  • Shame about the he sound. But great to see that wonderful set design and costumes.

  • Should be shown in its native 4:3 and audio is way too quiet, these things unfortunately do affect the way the film is perceived. Please fix if you care.

  • A masterpiece! The acting, dialogue, costumes, decor, rise in crescendo to the final scene of the horses on the stairs.

  • Great movie

  • Poor volume quality. Can barely hear film sound. Otherwise, liked movie.

  • love this Movie ....Marlene Forever.

  • hahahaha 14:30... this movie is rife with ridiculousness
