The 1st one was endorsed by the US colonial government in the 30s, the 2nd one during Marcos time. The problem with the Filipino educational system is that it is Luzon-centric, actually, Central-Luzon-centric. People lack literacy in geography, history & politics. Especially the Tagalog don't know all too much about the other regions
