@turtle2087 Carbon monocoque is now widespread in motor-sport and entered supercars market, but it will not be easy to fit it in civil cars - carbon fibre business is not cheap, and some standard would have to be set up to make it economically sensible, which would probably seriously limit design options. Next thing is 6 point harness + seat which is far more adaptable (quite cheap bit less comfort?), and another hard one to implement is Hans Device + helmet - bit expensive and even less comfort
