This is actually not bad advice, Ive been yoyo dieting and trapped in the food addiction cycle for 10 years. I have heard a lot of silly advice, but this was really great. I may give this a try because I can just never get over those 2 weeks. I always break 7 to 10 days in but i have tried to replace the addictive behavior with healthy habits. I just think Ive got enough willpower and I just go for it. Thanks for the video!
you should read the happinness trap, stop struggling and start living, by dr. russ harris, such an inspiring book :) and it tells you about the western society and how, theres soo much myths and confusion on happinness.. such a great book, or tuesdays with morrie enought great book, sorry i know this is a bit irrrevalant but just had to share it haha

I was addicted to soda and gradually drunk more water, then just drunk water. Now when I try to drink soda, I hate it. It gives me bad gas and I dont even enjoy it anymore. I even saved money when I stoped buying it. So I know that giving up a food or drink is hard at first, but I will be proud of myself when I stop being addicted to sugary snacks. I will watch this video to motivate me. Thank you
Hi, Natasha. Your video is great. Thank you. My only question is the length of your smoking addiction. You said it was 20 years... You are only 34. When did you start smoking and how long since you've quit? Thank you.
walking away from the addiction..... yeah, but what happens when the stress of life gets too much and the addiction returns. I get too much stress and use food, junk food to numb the stress. I never eat junk unless the stresses of life begin to overwhelm me. I want to be 100 percent free of that for good. I dont want stress to take over my reactions.
You look so great and happy and health, and I am so happy for you breaking free of your addictions! Great for you sharing your story with others and spreading the empowerment and awareness that can heal so much! love, girl...
does anyone else notice the camera is blurry? I dunno.
I got sick with food poisoning (as i commented on) then i got a severe case of tonsilitis, ear infection, and then ended it with a nasty sinus infection. All of that believe it or not helped me quit smoking. Not a cig in 6 weeks and I did it without anything this time. I won't lie, i've had my moments but its liberating. The best part is breathing.
i had a bad habit. Ciggs were my worst habit. I didn't want to like change my habit on that, i was so comfortable. I started a workout class, boot camp fitness class, and i had to quit. I was wheezing everywhere. That right there inspired me to quit smoking on my own. I've been smoke free for 2 yrs now.
I had no idea you had those addictions..you really were saved and are one of the few lucky ones..you are really helping people with this video. Way to go girl!
OMG you are soo right food addiction is killing me!!!! Only if it was soo simple to let go of the bad food. I am working on it thought Thanks for your wonderful Vids!
OMG Natasha .... you are FABULOUS ... I love your advice about squeezing in as much happiness as we can while we are giving up anything addictive. Why hadn't I thought of that before!!! You have reminded me why I love to watch your videos ... I am back as a regular viewer again :-) Thank you!!!
I'm addicted to sweets, and just generally unhealthy foods. Maybe you could do a follow up video on how to avoid your addictions? It's hard when i'm living with my family. My mom puts butter on everything, brings home apple pie and donuts, my dad has steak for dinner every night and my brother eats nonstop... How can I halt my addictions when i can't avoid them? When i feel outright OBLIGATED to eat them? When i'm the one who has to drive to burger king to pick up dinner? How can i avoid it?
You said, "Beautiful Groceries," I recognize what that means now. When I get to the produce I get a real good feeling from the colors, (or maybe colours) I'm not sure if Canucks use the English spelling, and the smell of real living food. Beautiful is the perfect word.
I swear..I feel like each of these videos relates exactly to what I am thinking about at the time. Right now, I can't get past granola and chocolate date brownies..I go for natural sugars, but still too much of them. I've even tried stevia here and there.
Watched this before I was signed it, but I had to come back to hear your positive words of inspiration and rate you five stars as usual cuz you just are awesome, my lady!!
Boy I wish I found this back when I started lol. I'm happy to say I'm no longer addicted to anything food related which feels AMAZING! It's wonderful to see other people sharing ideas on this, great video
I just started my juice feast! And lots of craving are coming up! Its fun to discipline myself, and its also relaxing to know, that i am choosing to be healthy

thank you for putting out such great energy. you've literally changed my life about food...
hey, i have a great topic for you to do a video on (pretty please!):
could you talk about what healthy food people can do when they're
traveling, either domestically or internationally? i for one am always
at a loss when traveling overseas every year...very frustrating...
just an idea!
peace and love...

Food addictions are easier to let go than we think.
I have been adjusting my diet for the past 3 years towards optimal clean organic whole foods.
For the past year I am so happy to be able to say I did it with ease.
Now I just really crave healthy things like juicing and smoothies.
Is that a problem I need to address?
( :
Those old habits like drinking alcohol, coffee and soda
plus smoking all seem silly to me now.
