I have one too, his name is Booboo, and he has a white stripe down his chin and a little around his hands, poor Booboo, we torture him. My brother has one too, his name is Dexter, but he's like skin colored or like brownish white and he has ruby eyes and hates Booboo, he once made Booboo bleed!!! At first I thought Booboo was a girl, than I started to see his testicles.

my mom didnt know that you cant put blackbear hamsters w/ other hamsters

and we had few teddybear hamsters,one died(it was a girl,the other teddybear hamsters bullied her :C ) another got eaten(probaly by our blackbear hamster idk) and another just got loose(cat got him) and he's probaly dead...so now we just have our blackbear hamster

so warning if you get any other hamster dont put them w/ your blackbear hamster

but you probaly know that

So cute! I adopted a pretty female black bear hamster from the animal shelter. Black bears are a rare breed, so I was surprised to see one at all, let alone in an animal shelter. She was given up because she is nocturnal (um....so are all hamsters. Come on, people, don't buy a pet on impulse). Anyway, she's a very sweet girl, and I can't imagine why anyone would dump her. She's pretty big, though, far too big for a typical hamster cage. I had to buy a rat cage for her.

I'm on my second Black Bear, and they are the most docile of hamsters :) I just got mine yesterday, shes already about 6 months old and freakin huge, I have the same cage but she doesnt go upstairs because she's too fat to fit through the tube (well sorta, she did it twice but it took her a while). I'm trying to get her going in her little exercise ball so she can fit upstairs soon xDD

I got a black bear hamster for my 6th birthday. I loved her so much. Her name was Ruby. When we changed her bedding, she liked to stuff it up her climbing pipe. My dad says it's because in the dessert they live in the ground, and the stuffed pipe reminds her of home. RIP Ruby: Beloved pet, and best friend to a child. PS, You never ate your seeds.
