  • It is great to hear that the Ben Webster/Flip Phillips/ Zoot Sims thing is being kept alive. Scott caught some $hit early in his career for being "too derivative". Scott sounds like Scott, which is fine with me. If you think you can do better, try to sit in with your suckass Cannonball Tenor and get your ass kicked......

  • Love Scott but that trombone player...ugly git but what a player!..best trombone solo I think I've ever heard...bloody genius!

  • My late brother regarded Vache as the great trumpeter of the 1980s-This is the first time I have heard him and am duly impressed. Hamilton is wonderful but I

prefer him on ballads where he ranks with Webster and Hawkins.

  • What a performance - and what about Steve Brown on drums!

  • That is the MOST incredible trombone solo I have ever seen/heard. NOT to be believed. WOW-

  • Man, this is some swinging jazz. A shame Scott rarely plays in the Northeast anymore.

  • John Allred is one of the most melodic trombonists on the scene
