@luvpump1 If Allah is good, he will help to Rebels. And he has helped them :) Now Rebels is in Trypoli, Kaddafi is going down and Libya will be free. Free like Poland, like Germany, like Tunisia...
Sadly the heros of the Libyan uprising are running the risk of been screwed by the iinternational community and the media they pander too so much. NATO and the media's biased reporting and persucussion of the war is antagonising China and Russia and I fear anymore UN actions to support these people will not be passed. It is a matter of time before we see another Korea- 1 country 2 sides of it.
My advice to the protesters: attack Ghaddaffi's forces on spots were they do not expect it! Attack them from their rear, and carry out guerilla attacks from the sides.
Destroy as much armoured vehicles in the process and wear out his men. Make this hell for them! Good luck from the Netherlands!
@Change6609 Nice strategic plan. But the opposition forces "celebrate" more often then actually trying to organize themselves into a real fighting forces.
My take is this... if the opposition believe that Gaddafi is going to attack Benghazi. Start fortifying multi-story buildings, setup tank traps (barricades w/ IEDs), concentrate ex-army units into key points of the city while use militia (armed civilians) to bleed incoming govt force (street to street fighting).
Ifit wasonly up to the USA, the no fly zone would already have been established. But the USA are already heavily critised in the world for becoming involved in countries that need their help. And so, the USA has let the UN take a decision. In in the UN, Russia, China and Turkey are opposed. Furthermore, european countries seem to be divided. I'm afraid that the Libyan protesters will have to fight this one themselves. But I think, they should be able to win!
@Change6609 America is the only nation in the world that can implement a No Fly Zone. I agree with you that if America enters into the situation, it will turn bad for America. Gaddafi's air defense network will have to be diminished to a point where US warplanes can conduct operations freely. One errant JDAM that kills innocent civilians. Certain parts of the world will condemn and demonize America even more.
The world wants America to lead. But doesn't like the way America leads.
I agree that the USA will be needed for a no fly zone. But actually, 'we' european countries should be able to do a lot ourselves. France, the UK, Spain and Italy have aircraft carriers. A lot of countries, amongst them the Netherlands, have assault and landing ships with helo's. We also have advanced weapon systems for attacks on air defence systems.Together with regional arab counries, we should be able to do this, without relying heavily on the USA which already does a lot.
@Change6609 Well, a no fly zone is going up. My concern is that this no fly zone is directed ONLY to Gaddafi's air forces and the potential for airstrikes vs. Gaddafi's ground forces. If that is the case, then the UN & NATO are interfering with another muslim nation and an internal civil war. Obama is entering into another "Regime Change" that got George Bush in so much trouble. Another mess in the making.
@Change6609 As much as the world wants to lie to themselves. America and her European allies will lead this no fly zone. Qatar providing what 4 warplanes? To do what, look pretty?
UN coalition has become the Opposition's air force. Gaddafi can't advance w/o being bombed. But will the UN strike at opposition ground forces if they attack Gaddafi's forces? I don't think so. If the UN want to have a no fly zone and a cease fire, it should be placed on both factions. Not just Gaddafi's forces

Tell the U.S. you'll give 'em a military base if they take out that bastard Quadaffi...
Then watch how long it takes to get that no-flight-zone implemented.
