  • I wonder how could this legend turn into a trash today. years change things oh.

  • Sounds like a JET !

  • haha there is no crossfire bridge

  • @brandonhughes7, I built it myself. I've done more mods and changes to it since then too. I have two ATI Radeon HD 3879 X2 now, which makes it crossfire X 2. Also a new Antec Nine Hundred Advance Gaming case and a new Thermaltake ISGC-300 CPU Fan. (She was running hot)

  • what type a rig do u have

  • where did you get the necessary dvi y-cable?

  • MMM...Look at that sexy stock CPU fan....

  • <3 Abit motherboards, i have an old ic7-max3!

  • I'd recommend a better HSF, that one pretty much looks like stock (I'd recommend the Scythe MUGEN II or the Ultra ChillTEC). But nice crossfire dude, how much did you spend?

  • Nice rig...

  • Could use some cable management man, but apart from that looks great. I was gunna buy 2 XFX 4850's For Xfire.

  • this was the first generation crossfire with an external dongle, with the new generation crossfireX they use an internal bridge

  • at least you know what your talking about lol, the old crossfire was a pain though, and really ugly

  • @soloist010 yeah it look like it doesn't make sense or a huge difference

  • thats not cross fire u have not put on the crossfire bridges xD haha

  • It's the old version of crossfire, read below for the description.

  • big fail...hmm no crossfire bridge.or did u manage to make it invisible?...lol

  • wheres crossfire bridge ?

  • Before ATI Radeon HD2XXX Series and ATI Radeon X1950 Pro the Crossfire was done externally by a cable connector and most of the times was required a master crossfire card and a slave one but since ATI Radeon HD2XXX Series and ATI Radeon X1950 Pro, Crossfire or CrossfireX is done internally with one or two small bridges and is way more easy to configure.

  • hey man thats a pretty sweet system but where is the crossfire bridge dont you need one for that i dont know! and what kind of power supply for those?

  • Some low end cards dont require a connector

  • Man, crossfire 4870 with stock cooler??

  • There is no need of Crossfire Bridge, because there is external cable bridge that doing the job!

  • FF = free fuck~

    anyways, nice setup~

  • where are the crossfire bridges ? hmmm

  • Niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • thers no corssfire bridge

  • thsi isnt crossfire x .the crossfire connector is on the outside = old crossfire

  • your board is showing a error 'FF', you don't need a Interconnect bridge between gpu's?

  • FF is not an error, it stands for fully functioning, and yes you do need a crossfire bridge :S

  • thsi isnt crossfire x .the crossfire connector is on the outside = old crossfire

  • sling that stock intel HSF and strap on an arctic freezer pro 7!

  • abit+crossfire , Like my way :DD (LINK : /watch?v=2w3GXGrhQTg )

  • thats mean i can run 2 different cards as crossfire?

  • can i run HD 4650 + other ati card ?

  • no, unless you get another 4650

i would suggest getting one good card

  • how much more powerful than a single ati card is 2 of those cards in crossfire?

  • 2 4650's? Anywhere from 60 - 90 % better (160 - 190% total), but I don't even know if 4650's are CFX capable.

  • i got told by sum guy ati cards in sli are only 120% faster

i guess he was talking bullshit

  • Yes, he was. Because ATi CrossfireX does not require special optimization (does help) there is always a significant boost. SLI from nVidia can run better but only on nVidia SLI optimized games. I hope this cleared things up for you.

  • I shift to ATI crossfire GPU. They are quite powerful and cheaper than EVGA nforce. But EVGA is still ahead in power

  • great system. I have already invested in an asus mobo with nforce750a chipset. I was curious to see if it was possible to run a single 4870x2 dual GPU in crossfire mode.

  • Yes it should work ericblr.

  • Can you tell me if i can make a crossfire between a HD 2900PRO 512MB DDR3 Sapphire and a HD 2900PRO 1024MB DDR4 because ia have the same motherboard!10x and nice vid!

  • Since they're from the same generation I'd expect that they would... you may wanna try google and search around though. Don't blindly follow my word, as I will not be held accountable if you DO blindly follow my word even after I warned you I may be wrong. =P

  • Hi, i've 2 card: ati radeon x1950 crossfire edition and a 1950 xtx set in crossfire.

On the 1950 cf card there s a green led...how it means, crossfire is working?

  • the config is like mine :D

  • a thing of beauty

  • is the 1950xtx louder than the x850xt?

  • Is there supposed to be a flashing blue light on the motherboard cus I have the in9 32-max and it flashes like urs.

  • Yes, and you can change the light pattern in the BIOS.

  • @Cobra9700 so i just started building my first pc and i was wondering, do u have to have two exact same graphic cards to crossfire or can they be different series. i have a ati 5770 but i was hoping to crossfire it with an 5870 later on.

  • cpu cooler is weak ;)

  • The older ATI cards used a bridge on the outside, connecting one DVI port on one card to one DVI port on the other. Only the newer ATI cards have a bridge on the inside.

  • Yeah, it's stock...but it does the job, I have not had any over heating problems with the CPU ever.

  • nice system man..

hehe ive seen you play on farcry- good player man.. you in a clan at all?

  • No, not in a Clan....Why are you?

I'm playing Crysis now, the graphics on this game really rock!

  • yes im kind of in a clan just started. called J4F (just 4 fun)

  • Where is your crossfire bridge?

  • the Q6600 needs a good cooler to go up to 3,4ghz..... alot of guys don't get it over 3,8 with water cooling...

  • y dont u overclock your processor. the Q6600 can go up to 3.40GHZ

  • any recommendations on an ATI Video card in the £50-70 region.

  • OnLy BUy aTI cardS! the ONly way to support ati is to buy ATI and AMD products!!! lets make it possible to make ATI Dominate in the future!! ati and amd is one!

the chief of intel was so angry that his password was "i hate amd" google for it!

  • HAHA. umm.. ati and amd may be one. but where do you live. in a hole. ati works with intel. thanks to amd, ati is almost above nvidia. ati doenst need a single amd part in the computer to work, and maybe you should work on some of those grammer words man. even i am not a fan of amd, but i love ati. and he should save those cards, upgrading with a better card like the 3870 or 4870, the x1950 can be used as a physics card. but only if the game supports it. dont know if it works with graw though.

  • i live in denmark the #1 happiest country in the world!!!!.... and i lvoe amd and ati!!!!! WOOOhooo!!

  • @niels2029 LOL AMD

  • @niels2029 WHY WOULD YOU WANT AMD TO BE THE FUTURE WHEN THEIR TECHNOLOGY IS NOT AS GOOD AS INTEL AND NVIDIA?

  • @The6Enlightened6One6 because i just knew that buying the best does not make you best out of the rest... theres no such thing as fastest, the best idea is you buy the one which is cheaper for performance wise and just upgrade in the future...

like what i did i owned an athlonx2 6000+ in 2006 all WAS PLAYABLE after 2009 where multi core rendering came to such a big deal i just upgraded to a phenom ii x6 twas cheap...

  • @The6Enlightened6One6 and best of all i can save that extra for future upgrades... or once in awhile dine out to a really good restaurant

  • too bad there is only a few motherboards that support crossfire. most of vendors make their boards for sli :(

  • wrong. the only SLI motherboards have Nvidia's crap chipsets. CrossFire can be run on motherboards with Intel or AMD chipsets, and they're both better than Nvidia's. Intel makes the best chipsets in the world and they don't do SLI.

  • One card is enough most of the times, the reason why crossfire was invented was to get more good steaming images per sec on very high resolution.

Crossfire makes sure that rendering of images per second(Like in games)are split on 2 graphic-cards lets say to make this easy splitting the work 50/50 that way stress on the card is less and warmth production is less in comparison of using one card :) for any questions about ATI card anyone you can always ask me

  • that's brilliant. you really think SLI was invented to reduce heat? you got some good drugs, kid.

  • He never said that SLI/Crossfire was invented to reduce heat. he did say, however, that adding a second card reduces the load on the first card, thus lowering heat. Which is all true.

  • i've owned several single card rigs and three different CrossFire rigs. running CrossFire absolutely, positively does not reduce heat. my current dual 4870's are like having an oven in my room.

  • whats good with crossfire isnt one good enough?? :P

  • YAY FOR CROSSFIRE :P

  • whowhowhoho...nice abit..

  • is that a jeantech nix case i got the same one if it is

  • if i ever see your computer in person, i may just have to make sweet love to it.

  • amd 6400+ 3.41ghz,2 gigs ati/ocz 6400 memory, ati hd 3870 x2 crossfire x,2 raptors in raid 0, 19" nec monitor, x-fi sound card, asus m2R32-mvp, and playin crysis in ultra real mode like the way its meant to be played and in vids!!

  • i wanna have sex with your machine

  • It's a hot computer, but not that hot :)

  • ah yes it is man consider your self lucky

  • hey man... what 3dmark did you use?? 2006?? and how can you get a certified ram?? thanks lots!!

  • oh my bad. 06... hehe its on the other video.. hehe anyway... still the ram question is up...

  • Certified for what exactly?

  • nice setup man. i have 2 HIS Radeon HD 2900XT 1GB GDDR4

  • now I noticed that you're using crossfire with an intel processor. Are you getting true 16 16 speeds for the PCIe lanes for your cards?

  • Crossfire? wheres the bridge?

  • Crossfire came in two ways, one has the internal bridge and the other has the external bridge. Mine has the external, looks like a "Y" connector and plugs into both cards.

  • o...

  • cool rig, ditch the stock cpu cooler though!

  • i see that ff alot on these pc movies what exactly does that mean

  • With the LED reading "FF" the motherboard has passed all of the post boot tests and is ready to boot.... It means that your board is "Fully Functional" and ready to go :)

  • lol... I thought it meant, "Fuckin' Fast"... jk...

  • Yeah :) That's what I tell friends too, but I didn't want to post that in here.

  • Do you have benchmarks/stats/specs on the graphic cards?

  • COol man, nice rig there. I also have a X1950XTX crossfire edition, and it pretty much rocks ass!! :D

But there (was) a problem. I had AMD 3000+ S939 sistem with 1.5GB DDR ram, so it was blocking the card pretty much. Now I bought myself a C2D e6550 sistem with 2x1GB OCZ DDR2 800Mhz 4-5-4-15 latency in dual channel, and a motherboard Abit IP-35E and it rocks man! Everything goes on high, and still flyes like a bird :D:D

  • lol nice nice, love the disco lights

  • wow that looks really nice

  • Thank You

  • still wanna see u run a game with that mess

  • I just did, look at my newest video. YouTube compression screwed up the quality though.

  • well obviously you dont know....my dream's are reality.

  • NVIDIA FTW!!!

  • Yeah, you wish :)

  • AMD 3.0 754, 1gb ram, 2x NVidia 7600 gt.

  • My PC sucks I don't even have pci-e only agp looking for a card now but have a tight budget of £20 it seems ebay really is handy. Any cards you could recommend about 256mb agp cheap?

  • Check the E-Mail I just sent you............

  • 6600GT if your lucky or X1300 ATi. lol

  • you have it only if you have vista but even than you cant use it with those cards.

  • it looks like a carnival with all those lights

  • hey nice computer what do you have now since this vid is pretty old...about a year almost

  • I JUST UPGRADED MY PROCESSOR FROM THE CORE 2 DUO 2.4GHz TO THE 2.67GHz. IT MADE MY 3DMark SCORE GO FROM 10272 TO 11496, A PRETTY NICE INCREASE.

    (Still Not Overclocked Yet)

  • Just ~10.000pts in 3dMark06 with a dual-card and semi-high end CPU? It's lookign pretty odd. A HD2900XT with a slightly faster CPU will kick about that score on it's own. I like the motherboard though

  • Crossfire is the future.

    3DMark Benchmark 10272 (Not Overclocked Yet)O.o

    Very Cooooooooooooooooooool

  • where do you get a crossfire edition card, on tigerdirect, all i can find are crossfire ready

  • This is my crossfire card:

    HIS X1950 CrossFire Edition 512MB GDDR4 PCIe

    (Product Code: H195CF512-R)

I bought it at amazon, but I just checked and they where out. Just do a search for that card. Good Luck!

  • thanks, i actually bought one ati radeon hd2900 xt, i think itll do pretty well on its own for now

  • thanks for your help, and btw to all the non believers ATI IS THE FUTURE!

  • very nice wiring, i got a sweet pc but my wiring makes it look like shit :(

  • Thank you, I always try to make the wires as neat as I can.

  • awesome!

thanks for sharing!! is that 3d card direct x 10?

    if not, oh well!

  • i got a question, can i use 2 sapphire radeon x1950xt's in crossfire mode or do i need a crossfire edition card? i read somewhere that u dont have to have a crossfire editon card but i would like to know before i spend my money:P ty

  • You need one Radeon X1950 Crossfire Edition & One Radeon X1950XTX. The crossfire edition has the connections to hook the two card together.

  • i'm going to purchase an ATI X1950XTX 512, and i was wondering if the ports on the back of the graphics card has the right plugs to accept a cathode ray tube monitor? Or does it only have a DVI-out plug?

  • Here are the input/outputs :

    Dual Monitor Support

    VGA Out DVI-Ix2

Video In and Out S-Video Out

    HDTV (YPrPb component output)

  • what kinda case u got?

  • and what kinda fans u got?

  • One 80 x 80 x 20 mm Front Fan ( Intake )

    One 120x 120x 25mm Rear Fan (Exhaust)

    It's a Cooler Master Centurion 5 CAC-T05 Case with a

AGI 550 watt Ultra Quiet Power Supply (With One 120x 120x 25mm Fan w/Blue LED's

  • thanks man i replied!

  • Hey man Hardware noob here but i only have a basic dell system and was really hoping if someone could give me advice on what hardware to get and where to get it!

I want a high end gaming pc basicly something like yours :P Get back to me if and when u can! :)

  • moshmachine, Check the E-mail I just sent you.

  • are they X1900's or X1950's?

  • X1950's 512mb each

  • awsome have u thot about water cooling

  • The system runs pretty cool now...........However it does start to pump out the heat in the middle of a graphic intense game. The system is very stable though, I have never had a lock-up or slow downs in any game that I have played!

  • CPU: (Socket AM2) AMD Athlon™64 X2 6000+ Dual-Core CPU w/ HyperTransport Technology

    MEMORY: (Req.DDR2 MainBoard)2GB (2x1GB) PC6400 DDR2/800 Dual Channel Memory Corsair XMS2 Xtreme Memory w/ Heat Spreader)

    VIDEO CARD: ATI Radeon X1950 Pro PCI-E x16 256MB

    VIDEO CARD 2: ATI Radeon X1950 Pro PCI-E x16 256MB

HARD DRIVE: Single Hard Drive (160GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 8MB Cache 7200RPM HDD} is this comparable to yours? or any good?

  • That is kind of like mine, my video cards are 512mb each though. However it's still a good PC.

  • NOOBS!!!!!!

  • eerr.... what is your psu? looks like a ocz gamexstream 850W power supply to me, but I need clarification. Is it, and if not, what is it? ty in advance for your response. :D

  • It's a AGI 550 watt Ultra Quiet (AGI-U55OUB)

  • you have a monster pc!

  • Thank You

  • I have a Gateway FX510 with a 256 MB NVIDIA 7900 GT C2Duo E6600 (2.4 GHz, 4 MB L2) Intel 975X BTX Mobo...

  • yeah nice to see how my computer works, cause i wouldn't open my case in fear of damaging my x1950 cards, but i see you don't have any extra slots for any other external equipment that kinda sucks what happens if you want to add something else.

  • Yeah, this board only has 1 PCI slot and my dual 1950 cards covered it up. I wanted to add a TV Tuner card so I used a Diamond HDTV Tuner, which is USB2. On most high-end motherboards like this one you have very few if any PCI slots but at least 6 - 10 USB2 slots. Anything you would need to add now of days is also availabe in USB2.

  • Whoa, that's a neat piece of computing box!

I don't see why people are saying that it's loud... sounds like a pretty quiet PC, even while having an open chassi and putting the camera right in there.

  • can you tell me how much you spend on your rig?

  • About $1795.00 A lot of it was at dealer cost though, I own a computer company. The PC has two ATI Radeon 1950 cards, two Western Digital Raptor 150gb Hard Drives (In Raid) & 1 Seagate 500gb Hard Drive, 2gb OCZ DDR2 800 memory, Abit AW9D-Max Motherboard, 2 DVDRW Drives, CoolMaster Case w/750watt PS.

  • does the ATI Radeon X1950 Crossfire Edition 512mb support DX10?

  • Yes, I just installed it and it works fine.

  • It's not really that loud, even thought there are 6 fans running in it. The only reason you can here anything is that the camera is really close & the case is open.

  • Dude I have the same specs as you, Except I have the Asus P5W-DH instead. I have the same rame and other stuff though.

  • Cool, One hell of a fast system...huh What's your favorite game to play on it?

  • CS, CSS, DOD, DODS, HL2, HL2DM, Quake 4, Fear, GRAW. etc. what about you?

  • Jeez, are you made of money?

  • ur comp sucks.. its to loud but other than that its good... is that the case sound or the cpu one

  • shit you have a fucking good computer

  • what mainboard is this?

  • I got

    Intel Core 2 Extreme Processor X6800 (2x 2.93GHz/4MB L2 Cache/1066FSB)

    Asus P5N32-SLI Premium

    2048MB [1024MB X2]

    Dual ATI Radeon X1950XTX 512MB

    :D

  • That is a sick comp, sicker than mine... LOL

  • bling-bling

  • yeah..with this kind of setup, this computer is pretty quiet. where are the 3dmark06 benchies?!?! :)

  • My Latest benchmark was 10389, still not overclocked...Yet

  • Eh, the x1950 XTX isn't very good for over clocking..

  • this makes me wonder if they could get this over clocked to 3Gz where would it put it self in the benchmark then lol

  • You are clear for takeoff. HAHAHAHAHA YOU HAVE A LOUD COMPUTER!

  • Actually it's not loud at all, it has a silent case fan and PS Fan.

  • what motherbord is that?

  • Abit AW9D-Max

  • You probably have that $1000 processor huh... the intel 2 Extreme if my memory serves me corretly. How much all this cost? I just got a x1950xtx, some asus mobo, core duo, and 1 GB (2x 518mb)=$1000+ (because of other parts of old comp) Make another video of that sh!t running! I wanna see!!!

  • If you look at the comments, its a core 2 duo..

  • beatiful...
