It's supposed to be off limits during flight ops. A jet hits the round down (ramp strike) and that is probably the second to last place you'd want to be at (in the a/c being the first!)
That is the greatest original camera angle. If I were stationed aboard a carrier this is probably where I would spend the most time off. (if possible)
