This music is the perfect music for getting things done. It's rhythmic, catchy, and calming. Only the greatest of wizards have this music in their caves, so it has an air of importance around it.
@chonisn Like I said FF7 is a great game, it's just not as good as everyone makes it out to be. I'll agree about the loz oot arguement as well. While it was a great game, it too has it's flaws.
@TheNexus18 that is where you would be classed as wrong. they ported it from NES to PS1 and then moved it to GBA. the PSP remake has everything from the PS1 version, not the NES version.
@Samswed Well, but this one is from Uematsu San too and what he accomplished with that "new generation" classic FF's music is to bring the quality standards with modern technology to the same level as all the "new era" FF's have been right from the start, he equalized it and so I think it's also common and fair to refer also to these ones as original tracks, for they also fit more to the overall series.
This song reminds me so much of an old witch with a really long nose! Especially from 0:00 - 0:06. The rest of the song basically reminds me of that also.
Admittedly I'm not a big fan of the NES Final Fantasies, but I do like their more lighthearted atmosphere. Final Fantasy I's remakes are pretty fun, though. I'm playing through the Dawn of Souls versions right now.
i need help finding out the name of a final fantasy soundtrack. look up somebody named PdoubleyouC and he should have videos of lego animations. watch Lego zelda att peg 4. and at 2:21 it says Music: Final Fantasy I. can you try to identify what it is?
Most other caves used a darker, more menacing score. However, I don't know why they chose a place that is only one room out of the three+ places that use this theme.
A piece of music might have a title that's specific to a person or place, but the music itself may be used in several places throughout the game. This is pretty normal for Final Fantasy games.
I love how cheerful this song is but the cave itself is dark as shit! I liked the little quest she sends you on and it even adds to the story with the crown! Love it!
Such a strong rhythm line during this entire song too, all of it comes together to make something that is really quite captivating despite its simplicity
I swear i heard this music on a game my girlfriend play on her droid...how did they get away with that?

Why do all covers of this song are sad and downbeat? It's such a happy song, and I personally think it's much better this way.

They used the Joke in the PS1 Remake again:
Pilf, Elcric dna Trats!
It sounds more like a spell with different Buttons x)
And the FLIP in it is congenious xD

Yes. It was in the ice cave as well.

So this is more of a general cave theme than just Mayota's cave... Someone at Square wasn't paying attention.

Just because it's called Matoya's Cave
doesn't mean they can't use it in other places.

Because Matoya is an important character that offers and important item, she is also pretty cool, bro.
