My sentimental fave soap. There's so little Loving online, particularly from the 80s or its first year, that this is brilliant to see. Any full episodes?
I don't want to be a hater--believe me--this show looks great now. BUT I never forgave Loving for costing the superior-Ryan's Hope so many clearances. Agnes Nixon was amazing, but there's a reason the nearly-perfect Doug Marland took his name OFF the show when it premiered. It was always just "ok", certainly not up to Edge of Night or Ryan's standards. But now: any Loving would be superior to most of the dreck on daytime.
@CarlD2: Yes, that is Gwyn, played by the great Christine Tudor. Also, I never knew that Anthony Herrera was on "Loving" for awhile - what character did he play? What years was he on the show?
@tgstock1 Herrera was on from about 1984/85 to 1986 (maybe) and then in 1990 or 1991. He played Dane Hammond, who married Ann while having an affair with Gwyn. He hooked Ann on booze and was nasty to her. He was also Jack's father. He returned later and tried to prove to Jack that he'd reformed.
Thanks a lot for all those marvellous trailers!!! I still miss LOVING! Roya Megnot, Perry Stephens, Susan Walters, Christine Tudor, Wesley Addy etc were such great actors! Nowadays all that remains of daytime soap era is boring stuff such as the young and the restless and the bold and the beautiful. One of the last interesting soap such as As the World Turns is to be cancelled next september!

So Susan Keith and James Kiberd were together on the show before they were in real life?
"To sharin' and carin'" is kind of funny, maybe because I'm not used to the narrator trying to be uncouth.
Is that Gwyn as the surprise Christmas guest? Wow. I remember her for the weeping and despair of later years.
