  • I have been cute'd to death!

  • @ 1:42 he made the cutest expression!!!

  • @mocochan

  • @japanesegirl03

    ありがとうございます。

    嬉しいです。

    僕もたぬきの赤ちゃんは初めてでした。

    毎日いくら見ても飽きることはなかったです(^^)

  • hello i love your videos my mother is japanese and she is touched by this story! are you from tokyo?

  • Thank you very much(^^)

Please give my best regards to your mother.

    I am not from Tokyo.

I am from the country called Yamaguchi.

  • What did Pochi die of?

  • Pochi could eat nothing than one week ago to die.

Even if he drank water, he vomited with gastric juice immediately.

I took him to the hospital every day, but he suddenly lost physical strength and died.

The name of disease was not established.

I think him to have been Fur Balls.

  • Oh my goodness! What a little cutie back then! He will be missed!

  • I am sorry that I do not notice comment.

    Thank you.

    I am very glad.

    He was vigorous these days.

  • ahh! ^^ there is the young Prince!! So happy you save him!

I have been trying to see all the Princes' videos! I get so busy tho, but i am getting there! Thank-you!! so sweet.

  • I am sorry that I do not notice comment.

  • yes, i understand, and know this feeling so hard i can almost touch it~ we will hold our little friends' forever, Pochi & Fritz.

Be Well. Give Peko a kiss for me ! she too is special. I bet she is good comfort for you :)

  • OMG that's so adorable!

  • Thank you!

    I am very glad(^^)

  • Adorable. We don't have Raccoon Dogs (Tanuki) in the USA. I wish we did.

  • Thank you!

A Tanuki is a general wild animal in Japan.

However, because there is nocturnal, strong wariness, we seem to know them, and, in fact, we do not know them too much.

  • Tanuki are the cutest animals in the world! I am so glad you share your lovely videos here. If you don't mind me asking, how did you come to own Pochi?

  • Thank you!

I am very glad to have you say so(^^)

Pochi was in the small grass of the roadside in front of my house.

His eyes did not yet open.

He cried hard and seemed to look for a parent.

Because there was not it near, as for his parent, I protected him(^^)

  • This video is really touching :)

I think Pochi is a wonderful animal and I'm very happy that you are having this blog :)))

  • Always thank you for nice comment(^^)

I have you please in this way, and I think that it was good to upload this video.

  • I can see why you thought he was a dog at first! When did you decide Pochi is not a dog?

I love these videos! Since I moved to Japan and saw "tanuki" figures everywhere here, I never knew what one is. But now I do.

to Lipoper: "Pochi" is the most typical name for a dog in Japanese. It's like "Rex" or "Fido" in English.

  • Thank you!

I was with Pochi to veterinarian on the day when I photographed this video and knew it(^_^;)

As for you, it is lived in Japan now!

Thank you for explaining "Pochi" to him intelligibly!

I was able to know a typical name in English(^^)

  • My wife, who is Japanese, thinks the name "Pochi" is really funny since it's a dog name!

I see in other videos you do have a dog. Do the dog and Pochi get along? Are they friends or do they fight?

  • Oh! Is a wife of you a Japanese?

The funniness of the gap with the name of "Pochi" and the raccoon dog is easy to understand it if so(^^)

The name of my dog says peko.

I got it from the person who was not able to keep her at 6 years old in February of this year.

I think that they can get along well if they live together since Pochi and pekoe were small, butWhen she watches Pochi, she barks very much(-_-;)

  • × The name of my dog says peko.

    ○ The name of my dog is peko.

  • He's so cute! Siroboshi, I have some questions about your tanuki.

    1. What does Pochi mean?

    2. How many years old was he when he learned to crawl/climb?

    3. Why are you putting him into the cage?

    4. Why is he staying in the house always? Is he afraid the outside?

    5. Will he find a female tanuki? hmmm? :)

    6. What do your friends think about you raising a tanuki?

    7. And you. Why never you show your face? I know it is a stupid question, but I think it is a good thing! ;)

    Good Luck! :)

  • Thank you!

    1. Pochi is a general name added to a dog in Japan.

    2. He began to crawl by around 3rd, and have begun to climb it in around 10 months.

    3. When there is a visitor for another person because is very coward, he becomes a panic.

He can escape into a hut in the cage immediately.

It and he bite various things.

He goes to bite when I find my father(^_^;)

  • 4. When he goes out because start running suddenly, may encounter a traffic accident.

A raccoon dog is the animal which is easy to encounter a traffic accident most in Japan.

When I add a collar and a trunk ring to him and need it, he bites me(^_^;)

    5. I feel sorry for him, but is single throughout the life.

    6. My friend is surprised, and laugh.

    7. When I was handsome, would show a face(^_^;)

  • Wow~it's really like a dog!

When did you record this clip? Maybe after you happened to fetch him outdoor?

In Japanese, kawayi..so si de...hi to ga

da nu ki to sun de yi ru ko to...do te mo..

me zu ra shi yi ne~ Do no kurai da nu ki to yit sho ni sun de yi run de su ka?

  • Thank you!

He cried at the grass by the way on a rainy day of May 19, 2006.

This video recorded it on June 10, 2006.

I live with Pochi to date for 2 years 6 months.

    You well know Japanese(^^)

  • Well, thanks for your translation.

    And the transtlation tool (japanese->korean)

works well. I can see the exact message from you. ^-^

Next time you can leave a message in Japanese.Even though I can't write down

decent Japanese, I can understand normal level of Japanese. ^-^

    Have a nice weekend.

  • ^.^ even as a pup pochi is adorable! how long did it take for his fur to change colors to the patterns he has now?

  • Thank you!

Pochi changed in the color pattern of the raccoon dog since this video by one month(^^)
