  • Andrew you are the best man I am so glad I found you, I wish I found you years ago. I can't stop practicing and I love theory. I have only just learnt to read music and man does it make a massive difference. My chord progressions have improved so much. You are the man dude thx.

  • Whoa! YOU....ARE....THE....FREAKING...MAN!!! Whoa! Ideas and all kinds of light bulbs went off!! Thank you very much sir!

  • HEY ANDREW i WAS THINKING ABOUT GETTING SERIOUS ABOUT THE GUITAR AND TAKING SOME LESSONS BUT THEN I WAS LEAD TO YOUR CHANNEL ENOUGH SAID.

  • It was like turning the light switch on, a different view that works good. Thank You

  • ...wha?

  • are you canadian?

  • Awesome lesson, thanks man.

  • I never understood people... I'm fascinated by theory and can't stop practicing scale and trying to improvise... though on the other hand learning songs is a torture for me... weird huh?

  • @superagnitio

Totally agree, learning songs is tough man, but I can memorize a progression or scale pattern really fast. Glad I'm not the only one that thinks it's weird!

  • it's awesome !! :D Thanks a lot !!!

  • that was beautiful

  • Useful Basic Info, as a teacher I think the basic problem lies in the fact that many players simply deny the importance of learning basic harmony theory. Many see a chord as a fixed shape. Now without basic theory understanding you wont be able to alter that chord shape into something creative (extensions). I never believed in a book loaded with fingering patterns- learning all those with be like a Monkey learning a trick without understanding what lies beyond, understanding harmony, Victor.

  • Excellent question...........

    Excellent answer.

  • @ 11:30 "I don't even know what that was" lol

Thanks for the great lesson. I always look forward to your videos.

  • If you really want to learn some complex voicings, listen to Bob Weir's playing

  • Great video Andrew! I haven't really bothered with chord books and charts for a few years now. You learn intervals more quickly and a by-product is that chord-construction in alternate tunings becomes an easier process!

Now if only I can tear myself away from tablature everything will be fine... ! :-)

  • you're the man, andrew. thank you.

  • amazing Andrew don't think you could have explained that any better

  • andrew you are awesome to the max!

  • Nice lesson thanks Andrew
