  • @20syl

  • SICK BEAT!!!! I would wreck that!

  • I like watching video's of other producers do they thang I'm bout to start putting out video's of my beats..

  • At 3:30 is sounded like you swept the cut-off frequency, or maybe the resonance, on the "far away" sample, then put that swept frequency envelope over the sample and put it on the pad. How did you do that??

  • @sneakitout If you have the EB16 fx card you can do that with the filter that comes with it. If he doesn't have the fx, he may be using the velocity to control the standard low-pass filter.

  • Wooooow.... #YeaMan

  • Hey man, you know that egg cartons do not work as a sound proofing material whatsoever and are equally as useless if attempting to use them as a diffuser? You may as well line your walls with flat pieces of cardboard.

  • Very nice

  • dis dat shit that make the MPC what it is. lovin dis right here, REAL hip hop

  • wish to have a wealthy parents too ;)

  • @KLARENZ87 parents? wtf are you a lil 9 year old kiddie? go and listen to bieber real hip hop heads are with 16 on there own and buy the shit because the word hard in da ghetto. parents ..what a pussy!

  • @KLARENZ87

I guess you don't know a lot of things about 20Syl, the guy started his own band in 1995 (HP), created one of the most successful DJ group ever (C2C) and has been working in Hip Hop for years. the reason he has all those things is because he worked for it.

  • Fokin DOPE....!

  • haha!! egg tray sound proofing. we all gotta start somewhere i guess

  • vraiment bon

  • this dude is just unbelievably talented... wow

  • il mange bcp des oeufs :)

  • I love all the adds you had, but it sound a bit of "too much" to me.. maybe like the guitar only all 8 bars or what ever.. just more air inbetween.. but still sounds doper than most producers I've seen on youtube!

  • whats the name of that instrument that was pulled out at the end?

  • @KeepItFresh02 not sure what it's called but it's of african origin. maybe that'll help

  • @seanster321 yea ill research further thanks!

  • If you live in washington we should do some colab work. I started producing and I've been a lyricist for a while

  • @BboyJayRock He lives in France ;)

  • This is a true craftsman at work. Pay attention kiddies, those strange tools 20syl is using are called MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS. Say it with me now, ME-YOU-SICK-AL IN-STRU-MENTS. VERY GOOD!

  • I remember when this video was first uploaded. I love it.

  • he is able to play like any instrument

  • dopest shit i've ever seen! your good bro

  • Damn man.. this is so raw. Keep up the good work !!

  • nice nice

  • this is fresh!

  • Almost my favourite video...

  • I love how you made the percussion tracks by yourself, and not just by using some cheesy preset samples.

  • how much shuffle you add to the MPC?

    mostly i work on 63% whaT's best?

I know every track is different but there's a shuffle from 51% to 75%

I like drums sounding off beat, that's why im asking:)

    Nice beat any way!!!

    Keep it up.

    Peace.

  • @MrMastermind1985 One way is working with absolutely no time correction ;-) But you should make a beat and listen to it on different swing percentages and find out what's best.

  • @Kitaroija

thx man i will do that,

    thx for reply!

    1

  • SOunds like talent to me...Keep up the good music Fam!

    Awesome!!!

  • @dachi89 Dats wath's up. 1 Luv!

  • @dachi89 You can actually do good music when you actually inspired by REAL musician( De la Soul, Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Pete Rock...) And you got these other wack ass rappers that be watching BET all day hoping to become the Next Lil Wayne or Soulja Boy!!! See in France they appreciate the REAL. Mather Fact Real hip hop is more present in Europe than it is in America! No Diss...

  • i'm lovin this song..... you have my dream setup..... damn, where you keep pulling all these dope instruments out of? what else you got back there? I think I found my new fav producer.

  • @jgk381 i can see a sixtrak at min 2:05, that synth is crazy

  • O.O

  • beat sample : Joe Farrell-Upon This Rock

    enjoy

    thks 20syl

  • @onzen11 i would've said stop after the drums, sample, and bass bcuz its so tight not to mess with it, but everything he keeps adding takes it to even another level.

  • That's exactly what i thought, Seem'd like he could've made the beat right there, But he keeps adding to it. But that what makes it such a dope beat and him such a good producer.

  • nice rhodes

  • If it wasn't for the drums I'd totally agree with you. But 20syl's up there tho...

  • i'm tryin to do wht u do and i must say u jus inspired me in so many was u have no clue

i thank u so much for this video

  • Real Music!!

  • Ye i got that guitar

  • When is this going to be released?

  • Chaleureux et vivant, super bien !

  • ONE WORD : DOPE!

  • !!!!!!!! as if i just saw a billy cobham and geaorge duke vinyl!!!!! ive thinking the same thing! ive been trying to sample ivory tatttoo that song is sick!! yknow just the guitar riff...... wow, and the beat is pretty dope.

  • Just picked up my first. 2000 and I must say that what you did was really nice! Props!

  • the new dilla

  • AMAZING!

  • Love C2C and love the idea of making loops on an MPC. Why though, as a DJ, could he not hear the beats being out of time with the metronome and being out with the rest of the elements afterwards. My natural desire to make beats match made me cringe. They're clearly not sloppy guys so what happened? I love you C2C!

  • Alot of beatmakers prefer not to quantize the hi-hats and snares to make the drums sound more natural instead of perfectly timed.

  • nah i think most quantize the snare so "she"" fits perfect and the rest hi-hats,kicks etc. without.

  • not necessarily, watch some of boondoc's beatmaking videos. His shit comes out awesome and he doesn't quantize the snares 75% of the time.

  • hmmm realy?im a big boon dog "fan".... i dont recognize that...i will check it.thanks mate XD...i have a lot to learn!!!!!

  • just great.

  • nice and smooth!!

  • that was a dope beat.he put alot of work in that joint.

  • check the egg crates on the wall .. yeah sun ! lol

  • Dope beat! Man I remember when I first got my Mpc I saw this dvd with scratching on it in musicians friend or prosound! I copped it I was amazed how you made a beat before I learned

  • joe farrel-upon this rock...for the drums!

  • dude you are carzy mad with the music woooooooooooooooow lol lol lol lol i love the hot s@#* lol lol wow

  • Actually the finished product wasn't as good as some of the segments in the production of it.

Having a good ear is still the most important aspect of producing !

Nice to see the guitar and organ skills though.

  • 4 real this kid's got mad talent!! much respect.

  • true but you talk about him like some guy with a hobby.. he's a professional producer for hocus pocus probabaly the best french rap group but u may know in which case my bad.

  • Yeah bruh They make some tight shit. I know y'all americans created hip hop an shit but i'm tired of the gangsta rappers talking bout' bullshit and disrespecting woman, some of them keep it real though, The roots, Dead prez, Mos def, guyz like that

  • some of them do... i am mc from the UK though. I even tried my own version of voyage immobile which is a beautiful song. Its on my channel.

  • @Yatoo77

mf doom, med, madlib etc. i think the problem was the commercialization, everyone didnt realize the music industry is big bubba and it wants ur ass lol
