I am in Kuwait and I've seen a couple on the road and each time I'm like wow, thats a nice looking car!The Arabs are (or were) stuck on buying new Ford Crown Vics (they still make them for the overseas market like here) but if I was an Arab I'd buy me a Taurus it's so much nicer. I may get this over a Mustang or mid sized Jap or Korean model as they not only look nice, they seem like a good value.

the biggest flaw in this review was at :56 they compared to a bland impala , and boring avalon :p a maxima , or cts would make better rivals

@AFunyun Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If it were a smaller car and not a huge battleship, I might consider it. However, with the extreme price-tag, I doubt that it will be comparable to their former Taurus line which sold as an average, mid-priced car. I will bet that 3 times as many Fusions will be sold over the new Taurus.

Fusion still has the smallest size, and is a direct platform on the old Mazda 6. Fusion just doesn't cut it for me.

You gotta love how Ford has improved thier all-around product line. The Focus, the Fusion, and of course, now the Taurus (beautiful ride)..................

Everyone I've talked to that owns a new Ford, just loves them.......... Absolutely high quality manufacturing.

Stay away from Chrysler...............JUNK.

I own one of both, and the Ford a has been a trouble free pleasure to own, while the Chrysler (with 47,000 miles) has had nothing but aggervating problems. (Freakin money pit!)

I really REALLY hated Ford in the past! I thought that they were ugly, boring, and unreliable! But now by owning a Ford Mondeo as a company car made me change my mind! Ford is one of the best car makers out there! Am really shocked by their excellent car range! Most of their car are best in class! Way to go Ford!

You have to give Ford credit for making some progression. They learned their lesson from the 80's and 90's. They sold a bunch cars with the Taurus nameplate. Then took the money and purchased shares in other car companies. They put too much effort in Aston Martin, Jaguar and others only to sell them when those companies were starting to turn around. Now with focusing only on Ford, I have to admit the line up looks a lot better. Not sure If I will buy a Ford yet. Time will tell.

I'm saying that based on what I see on a daily basis. I have to drive for a good 20-30 minutes on the highway everyday to go to school and about 90% of the cars broken down on the side of the road are American.

And I'm sorry but I don't think that Ford or any American company will ever be anywhere near the same quality or reliability as Toyota, Honda, or any Japanese company

Are you serious !!!! Consumer reports has ranked the Fusion over the Camry and Accord for reliability. Japanese Quality !?!?!?!? WHAT !?!?!?! Toyota has just issued the largest recall in US history of over 3.8 million vehicles due to acclerator problems. Also, The Toyota Tundra is a rust bucket and is known for snapping tire rods that control the cars steering. Which my cause lost of control of vehicle and DEATH !!!! Also, Toyota just got shut out of the most recent Highway safety top 10 list.

The one thing American companies do well is make trucks, that's it. If I needed a truck, I would go straight to a Ford or Chevy dealer. But if I wanted a performance car, or a reliable economy car, I would go Japanese or German.
