Very sad. Used to watch him playing for Falmouth Town and by coincidence was living in Blackpool when he moved there so I saw him at Bloomfield Road as well.
Great player who always gave his all for his team.

@GarySilke of course it wasn't a penalty - poor decision but that's the cup for you! I was only a transient Exeter 'fan' as our great friend, goalkeeper Ian Main, played for a couple of seasons (and in this game).Sadly, he passed away suddenly 12 years ago on 16th Sept 1998 at the the age of only 38. Thanks for posting, great memories, and, despite the howler, we loved him!!
Great game saw the away leg as well only bettered by the Newcastle hammering.'Tony Kellow Tony Kellow Hello Hello Hello' I remember singing from the cowshed!!!!!!
I was there as well tho I don't remember much about it other than the crowd was so tight I was able to lift my feet off the ground when leaving the stadium and got carried along by the folks around me. Couldn't do it now mind, I'm a fat git.

No sour grapes from a Leicester fan 30 years on but how was that a penalty?
Ball winning challenge outside the area!

Il rigore non c'era. Il fallo è avvenuto fuori dall'area.

Love the video!!
Haven't seen those goals since I was stood at the "T'stand" end of the cowshed hurling abuse at the away fans (as usual!).
I remember the game well, I lost a really cool watch in the in the celebrations!
Great stuff!!
