@DKPOWA of course he has to coach him. they're both gonna know it's a lost cause but if everyone out there thought like that then there would be no one even trying against the chinese. there are ways of playing pen holders which is probably what he would've been saying, but obviously theres not pressure on him.

the kid is about 14 and has a lot of improving to, both physically and mentally. He is about top15 in England already and has a positive attitude; his backhand is outstanding. Just look at one or two of the points that he did get. He hit it straight past Hao which Hao wasnt expecting. Underated

Wang Hao certainly didn't try hard. Otherwise the kid will max get 2 points each set. I would not supprised he got zero. The kid is playing agressive. He tried to do a quick flip shot on a big angle every serve return, that will give him some points. Otherwise, no chance. For him each shot is a live or die. So the kid play the gambling way. I bet if i play that way i can get one or two points from wanghao.

The same can be said for the lads he started with, Sean and Danny, all three have come a long way. Doesn't seem too long ago that I was cornering for them at the Schools Team finals and I'm damn proud of what they have done.
All the haters can get stuffed theres a lot of potential in this lad. Watch it and you never know you might learn something...

I don't care ppl saying yeah yeah Wang wasn't trying if they show some appreciation. The fact of the matter is 99.9% of the people replying would get their ass kicked by both of them.

I'd say Wang Hao was playing at 30% or 40% of his potential that game, he gave the kid lots of opportunities to reloop and didn't try to blow it past the kid every time.

I think it's a dream for a talent like Lian to play on his 15th year against the number one of the world.. That isn't something you see that much :) It's a good experience for his young career so far.
