Er... sorry, but no. Buffon's good but he's past his prime now. Goalkeepers like Julio Cesar, Cech and Casillas surpassed him, and now he's gonna get worse as he gets older. By the way, Barthez isn't but Kahn is much better the Buffon. Every goalkeeper makes big mistakes now and then. And no, he's not the best goalkeeper ever too. Lev Yashin, Gordon Banks, Peter Shilton, Zamora, Peter Schmeichel and more are better than Buffon.

Kahn was a lot better, Zamora, for your information, didn't even played in the English League, but in fact is a legend of Real Madrid, and Yashin was the BEST EVER. The fucking Russian even 35 years old was better than Kahn and Buffon put together. Saved over a 100 penalties in his career.

You are not the only one that knows something about the keepers and if you actually knew anything, you would know that the old-times keepers can't compare to 21st century keepers. That's about your knowledge. You can exclude all the english/spanish keepers, as they are many levels below. Buffon is absolutely the best. Kahn,Schmeichel and Yashin are let's say right below Buffon.

Buffon is starting to have a history of injury problems and back then, he would be a lot worse. That's why Yasin is the best ever.
