  • @solarpanels3 don't insult the brave men who protected England from the onslaught of Germany

  • Mel Gibson have the guts that you brits taken all together will never have

  • " beware of those who say are your friends. enemy you can handle becouse you know they are your enemy"

  • Britts are pussies!!!!!I better respect hitler than this scum fat churchil. Hitler was a clear enemy and poles fight with his army. If it wasnt for this remote island hitler would just "drive over"

england with speed same as on AUTOBAHN. I just hate fat, unhonorable, cigar stinking pussies

  • Well, the Battle of Britan was won quite thin, and the guys in this "historical" program (where airplanes viz shows the battle like arcade game ;) didn't mentioned, that at this time RAF consisted of many pilots from other nations, which clashed already with hitler. Especially well trained Polish, Czechoslovak pilots. Best of RAF was 303 division (Polish, with one Czech ace). Pilots were crucial for this battle, untrained so well kids died relatively fast in the air.

  • Dang!!!!!!!!!!! You Brits are one tough motherfuckers......You are pounded and pounded, day in, and day out--------and you're still walking.......

Just like the British SAS "Who dares wins".

  • Don't forget the women, the women of the Air Transport Auxiliary who kept delivering those planes, along with the men of the ATA...frequently under combat conditions without ammo or radio.....

  • I seriously want to bash "Aryeh Nusbacher" with a bat...such an arrogant prick...and he has no idea what he's talking about......

  • @Dexalicious IKR!!!!!!!!!!!

  • just love how the americas think its all ty them tat hitler lost

i can think lots of things tat marked ww2 wit out USA

  • @MegaAmMa123, The british Army was the strongest in history when they took over 2/3 of the worlds surface, actually.

  • I love Germany. They are strong and intelligent army. The most strongest army in history.

  • @MegaAmMa123 So strong that Britain still occupies parts of Germany today.

  • @MegaAmMa123 Yeah, so strong that we beat them... Twice!!!

  • Americans need to stop taking any credit for BoB, there were seven American pilots, please stop.

  • Another History Channel crap doc. Still to Ancient Aliens, its pretty much at your level history channel.

  • It was clearly a 'very near run thing' as the Brits would say... But Britain proved its mettle... and the resilience and defiance ('We can TAKE it!') of the English populace was a big boost. The RAF was simply magnificent... and they'd be the first to heap laurels upon their brand new 'Supermarine' Spitfire aircraft... fast, scrappy and (in the hands of good pilot) absolutely LETHAL to the Luftwaffe!

The Battle of Britain was a finger stuck directly in 'Der Fuehrer's' eye. It's effect was HUGE.

  • EHEHEHHE, no Army or Air Force can survive with such commanders like Hitler and Goering. This man stopped to bomb the RAF bases for kill inocent people at London and gave the precious time for RAF rebuild the planes, what such kind of stupid person.

  • holly cow... I thought aryew nusbacher was a man.. but i try to search him in the google.... it tells that she was a woman???...... WTF

  • @chesterdgreat91 WHAT!!!

  • 10 Americans were involved in the battle of Britain under the command of the RAF. The only other country assisting the Brits was Canada, it's a victory belonging ONLY to the Commonwealth.

  • @Xgirlfriend13 what about the polish? czech? french?

  • @Xgirlfriend13 Sorry but you are ignoring the Polish (145 pilots) not to mention Czechs (88). Belgians (29), French (13) and Irish (10). Add to that the Commonwealth pilots - New Zealand (135). Canada (112). Australia (32). South Africa (25), plus Jamaica, Ceylon, Rhodesia and the US. Those brave young men who went up against Hitler in the Battle of Britain were a multi national force and not all from Commonwealth nations.

  • @Jenjenilou except the French that ran like sissies

  • @gopconservative78 Thats just another stetyotipe that was made by few children.

  • @Jenjenilou and you are ignoring the dutch pilots

  • @Jenjenilou During the Battle of Britain ALL pilots were British!

  • Dear HardWarUK, Ninety-eight pilots from New Zealand fought in the Battle of Britain in 1940.

  • @SiliconBong Yup, and many other nationalities, And while they were in Britain, fighting, they were honorary British! Every nationality that fought knew that if Britain failed, their nation might never be free. Remember, a the time, no one knew America was going to come into the war. If Britain had lost and America had stayed Neutral, it would only have been a matter of time before New Zealand and others would have had the Nazi boot on their neck.

  • I didn't know that, HardWarUK, apols; I thought you were implying that we [NZ] had no part in the Battle of Britain. Hope you had a happy Christmas and I wish you a Bountiful Twenty Twelve.

  • @SiliconBong Same to you! And of course, I made a mistake. New Zealanders would probably be speaking Japanese today, not German, if the UK fighters had lost the Battle of Britain. As I am sure the world would have been carved up by the two axis powers.

  • OK, HardWarUK.

  • @richie7778 And God bless Malta for standing up to the Nazis. They could have demanded the British leave and kept well out of the war, but they endured hell for the sake of freedom. The world will never forget their sacrifice.

  • Had Goring been a better leader he could have smashed the RAF. All the cards were in his favour with more experienced pilots and more aircraft. After the B or B he continued hitting our cities while our war machine grew stronger. Manufacturing was dispersed and the main factories largely assembly lines only.

There was no method to the bombing and most targets had no direct effect on our war effort, just killed huge numbers of civilians.

  • For the Americans that constantly like to snipe at us British/English. Where were you when human beings across Europe were being slaughtered by the German war machine?

You can critise us all you like but at least we had the balls to stand up for what was right straight away not wait around twiddling our thumbs. It's a shame America never got the bombing we endured.

  • @HairyMonkeyUk

Before you boast that Americans were cowards by not being beside Great Britain and France at the beginning of the European conflict against Nazi Germany; take into consideration that president Roosevelt although sympathetic to the Allied cause from the very beginning and even helping Great Britain with much needed equipment though the lend-lease act, simply could not enter America officially into the conflict with much of the public opinion bitterly opposed to another war.

  • @Eurofighter19 God bless the US, our great friends and allies. Defending freedom.

  • @HairyMonkeyUk

Some 30,000 American airmen died operating out of the UK. Their country was never under threat and their country was in economic depression. It is easy to be wise in hindsite about facism and there were culural ties between Germany and America as well. But they came in the end and thank god they did.

  • @TheSpiritof1969 It was always about the many - the British. The women who flew the hurricanes and Spitfires down to the airfields, the engineers building the engines, the factories building the plane fuselage. 100,000 of British died and I am fed up with posts implying it was the American's or Czech or Canadian that made the huge sacrifice!

  • @HairyMonkeyUk It's a shame America never got the bombing we endured???look im sorry that the germans did that to you guys and it makes me very sad that they did.but why is it a shame it never happen to america that means more people would have been killed and who wants that. as far as americans who snipe at British/English there just a bunch of cocksuckers who dont know shit.each of the allies all played in important role in the war. remove one and the germans owed all of us

  • Why can't people simply appreciate the courage and spirit of the RAF pilots?

  • After I have seen this docementary, I discoveried that they tell what the stupid school books tells. This is real fact:

    1. The luftwaffe knows about the radar stations and they tried many times to destroy them, but they was so easy to repair so they shift their attacks to RAF air bases.

    2. The luftwaffe failed in the battle of britain becuse Hitler ordered Göring to start bombing cities insteed of RAF airbases. Then the bombing of their air bases stopped, the RAF could repair its airbases.

  • Of course I am outnumbered. It is normal that the English do not venture out unless that have huge numbers of friends. Quite cowardly I would have thought.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne: Actually Easy, I think you'll find the reason you're outnumbered is because nobody believes a word you say and nobody wants to be associated with you! You contradict yourself constantly, you've proven on here to have nazi sympathies, you're a fantasist, a habitual liar, a historic revisionist, a right wing zelot and xenophobe. Basically the only reason you troll all over youtube making these pathetic remarks is because you have no life! - cont'ed

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne: cont'ed - Why don't you do the impossible and be honest with yourself for just one second hmm? This is the only outlet you have to distract you from the sucking failure that your life is! I read your laughable drivvle on here and other videos and the mental picture it forms in my head of you is of some sad, lonely, inadequate little man, who's angry at the world around him as it ignores his little rants! Am I close there Easy? Would your 'wife & kids' agree??? hehehe

  • @Pheonixfromtheshale I guess that since English people tend to carry on like you do indicates why you are not particularly liked. I have news for you. You do not have an empire any more. You are a small part of an island off Europe. You are your other id ssaltmer can go away and pretend that England still matters. The United States of America matters. England doesn't.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne the easy company airborne, the one you called your youtube, they would be disgusted at you. file, troll, badmouthing not just there allies ( THE ONES THE FUCKING LANDED WITH) but their brothers! people like you give american a bad name, as indeed you give all of humanity a bad name, i suggest i high dossage of SENSE. see where you get too.

  • @sabaton1231 Men of Easy Company act. They don't just swear and make meaninless insults. I am being subjected to a whole bunch of trolling attacks, of which you are another. t doesn't surprise me that you are all English and probably the same person.

This whole video is phoney. It is just full of computer graphics. All English big noting. The Americans did the hard work though. They always did. Quiet guys who won the war.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne LOL fucking quiet guys? silly noob america made sure that the world never forgot what every man in ww2 did to defeat the reich, all of them brave men, you sir COULD NEVER BE A MAN LIKE THEY WERE. nothing but a troll who disrespects not only heros but nations.

  • @sabaton1231 Now hear this. The United States stepped in and quickly won the war after the English were puddling around in the small stuff. Never forget the Americans who Churchill called "the few".

PS: It is interesting how children from England like you call other people trolls.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne ...everything you just said was bullshit, america did not quickly step in they were dragged by fucking germany, the english were fighting in the east and in the desert, a few 100,000 men yeh small stuff......fucking idiot. churchill said the "few" were the fighter pilots in the battle of britain brain dead moron. how the fuck is it interesting how i call you a troll, im a scott a-hole

  • @sabaton1231 I get sick of this stuff from you lot. You say that the English were fighting everywhere.

Here is something I got from another one of your people. I can't really discuss things sensibly.

    Quote follow.....

  • @sabaton1231 So just pull your head in. I can't stand this English "I did it all" stuff. All you did is direct others to do your dirty work. You let the french and Poles down, ordered the convicts from India, Australia and stuff to do the dirty work, and relied on the Americans to fight back.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne im sorry WHAT! you ignore the fact the the majoirty of british forces was BRITISH! without the help from the colonies we wouldnt be there, and america would be destroyed. CONVICTS FROM INDIA???? fuck you dude, disrespectful, ignorant scourage! just as many british landed as americans, your a fucking idoiot to think it was anything but a united effort against the reich, not an american or british one

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne im still scotish, not english

  • @sabaton1231: Ignore him mate, Easy is a know Trolling Bullshitter - Liar - Fantasist - and has openly expressed admiration for the nazi regime on other videos (I'll send you the link). From personal experience of verbally kicking his nazi-loving arse all over youtube, it's obvious there something mentally wrong with him. Ask him to back up just one of his laughable claims and he can't! He'll then start crying that you're victimising him. The guy is a freak & lying maggot!

  • @sabaton1231 OK. Sorry. I respect the Scots. You mention about attacking the Reich. Yes. That is when the English came in - to attend the Victory Parades. The Indians and Australians were kept well away from these. Their job was to die.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne i dont think that HAPPEND AT ALL! in the british victory celevrations there was every country in the commonwealth which thought parading through London.wtf is your gripe with the english? what have they ever done to america ever. they ceased to be a country some 200 years ago.

  • @sabaton1231 We all have our won opinions. Mine is that England cynically engineered the war and sacrificed everyone else. Why? In order to show everyone how great they are. Who did win? The English say it all the time to Germans. 2-0 they say.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne ive been to an english ( quaker) school and that had many children of around the globe, the seriously dont say that. it would be hard to sypothise were your theory mainly because the english lost ALOT for the right to brag, an empire and so much manpower and resources. wouldnt have made sense

  • @sabaton1231 They didn't lose much manpower. They were never under real threat. The English ordered other countries to do their dirty work. They then scoffed at these countries, called them incompetent and cowards. They are doing this with the Afghans right now. As for the quakers, they are conshies. The English despise conshies.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne: 'We all have our won opinions. Mine is that England cynically engineered the war and sacrificed everyone else' - Okay then Easy, answer me this...Why would England (a country that hasn't existed as a separate entity for 200yrs) engineer a war where the end result would be a nation near bankrupt, cities in ruins, an empire devolved, and nearly 1.8 million of her people (counting both wars) dead???

Explain your theory please...because I think it's utter bullshit! much like u!

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne: Here's my won opinion Easy...

You are basically a shining example of what happens when extreme bigotry is nurtured in an atmosphere of extreme ignorance. Fed on a diet of blinkered jingoism, fanatical nationalism and unenlightened xenophobia. the very fact that you cannot back up your 'opinions' with any real evidence or facts just shows you up for the laughing stock you are! The fact you have to invent ficticious wives and kids speaks acres about you - tragic little man!

  • @Pheonixfromtheshale Phoenix. I see by the way you write you are intelligent - do not let your patriotism override the truth. The English are cunning and manipulators. When I say English, I am talking about a mentality of the country. I do not mean all people. Some noble souls are ashamed to be associated with England. Some of the things David Cameron is doing are heroic and well meant. I applaud him for that. I hope he doesn't let me down and I find it is yet another sneaky English ploy.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne YOUR ENGLISH ( partly, an being american) WHY DO YOU HATE YOUR ANSESTORS? WHY DO YOU HATE THOSE WHICH GAVE YOUR COUNTRY LIFE?

  • @sabaton1231 England gave the United States life? That's a new one.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne well, no, its an old one happened a while back. wtf are you denying that america isnt largely english related

  • @sabaton1231 No it isn't. The United States is American. The people speak American English.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne They did, the concept of the aircraft carrier, the p51 mustang, Rolls Royce Merlin Engine etc....

  • @mcduck5 I only know the concept of the airplane. That was American.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne @EasyCompanyAirborne Even tho there is no clear evidence that Richard Pearse didnt beat the Americans to it?try googleing it....

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne 'Quiet Guys who won the war' lol! That has to be the most hilariious comment I have ever read on youtube. I love America. I love Americans, and thank God most of them are normal, sane, intelligent and fair. And they know who their friends are. it's such a shame that they've got dickheads like you speaking up for them on youtube and giving them a bad name. Do yourself and your country a favour mate and shut the fuck up.

  • @Jenjenilou Thanks for the comments, and you're right, that person doesn't speak for all of us. I'm an American who knows a lot about the BoB, in fact I'm writing and producing a film about Robert Stanford-Tuck, the legendary Spitfire/Hurricane ace. Had the pleasure of meeting his sons this past winter in Kent as well as Spitfire owner Carolyn Grace. Cheers, and wish us luck!

  • @aerodynamic1 Sounds a very interesting project

  • I'd like to insult someone, and but am not sure who. Any voulnteers?

  • What a bunch of boasting clowns the English are. This is an American documentary anyway.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne: Yes it's an americunt documentary Easy. It's plain to see that by the way it misses out huge chunks of historical information and tries to 'simpify' and 'dumb down' everything, so the dribbling cretins who watch this poorly researched garbage (i.e: you!) can pretend they understand it.

If you want quality, accuracy and excellence in documentrary television, here's three letters for you...B B C

    tee hee

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne: By the way Easy, I can't help but notice that you've failed yet AGAIN, to provide any solid, irrefutable evidence that 'UK would have lost the Battle of Britain without US flyboys' - as you so laughably claim! C'mon...back it up, or shut it up!

I breakfast time here Easy, I think I'll have eggs for breakfast...and I'll have them laid by you....Chicken!

  • Warking. phoenix is a stalker.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne: I am a stalker Easy...I'm stalking you - and everytime I find your lies and Bullshit posted up, I'm going to be there to put the record straight! And I'll continue to do this until you're gone Easy - it's as simple as that :)

I note that YET AGAIN you've come up with NOTHING to back-up your laughable claims on here! Come on then, show me where Churchill made that quote you attributed to him!?

Maybe you could ask your made-up wife & kids if they know!?

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne Interesting to witness Easy's diseased mind coming apart at the seams. But I'm certain that it switched tracks years ago anyway.lol

  • pheonix and ssalmer are the same person. Boring.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne: You wish we were Easy!

Is it so hard to comprehend that more than one person here hates your guts, you nazi loving little freak!? Dont believe me? Just check every other person who's commented on the laughable right-wing xenophobic BS you've posted up on every video thats had the misfortune of you casting your eyes upon it. - That should convince you! hehehe.

I'm sure your ficticious wife aqnd children would agree!

  • @Pheonixfromtheshale Face it, pal. The USA saved your asses. You would have lost without the American flyboys. Your swearing and uncouth behaviour will not convince decent people out here.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne: Face what Easy? Show me the evidence of this supposed 'Saving' then! C'mon...lets see you back up your laughable revisionist drivvle with just one solid irrefutable fact that the UK would have lost the Battle of Britain without US flyboys!?

I'm calling you a pathetic little liar Easy...I'm laughing at your weakness! Why don't you come and shut me up with your 'facts'!?

Perhaps you could ask your made-up wife and kids for help!? hahaha - Freak!

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne I'm still here Easy you stupid wanker. My own separate entity, who espouses the same independent thoughts of many who have read the absolute shit which flows from your maggot ridden brain to your fingertips. You are outnumbered, dickhead.

  • Of course there were no foreigners in the battle of britain ... You are the best brits.

  • I`m sorry but must say this. It was a price for ignoring Hitler in September 1939. We could win this war in that year, we did not because English and French are losers. Check how many Polish lives were lost in 09.1939 and then think who is who.

  • The best pilots in the Battle of Britain were the Poles !!! This lame documentary doesn't even mention the contribution of all the foreign pilots who helped save Britain.

  • @TheBeerNut1 There were Canadians and Americans Eagle SQ. The Poles fought hard because they were pissed off at the huns. My Dad lived through it, I can not imagine what it was like. They were much tougher than people today.

  • Watching this documentary it is more understandable why the British were more sanguine about bombing German cities than were the Americans who never suffered any attacks on their civilain populations.

  • mel gibson?..what a knob

  • fascist pig loser ...come an hav a go if you think you´re hard enough

  • That Nusbacher guy doesn't have a clue, and this documentary whilst it does tell the basic story misses out much vital information, so Lost Evidence, nope I don't think so.

    Very poor.

  • my take,

after finding that britain will not yield easily, the the germans decided to postpone operation sealion and focus his forces on russia,

it was not a victory for britain, they lost more than 30,000 civilians,

  • easy - isn't it funny that you still go on about things that happened centuries ago XD

You talk of genocides and massacres but you dont have to go back very far to see atrocities that your country committed. Btw hollywood movies are not a credible learning resource. Britain has always been an easy target 4 hollywood bcoz yes we have done things in the past that we shouldn't of, but we are not alone on that fact no country including yours is innocent

  • You represent honesty truth and freedom?? Your comments say otherwise. These days all countries (including the US) rely on other countries its a known fact. Whether it be extensive trade agreements or military support. So stop your BSing and spread your hate sum place a bit more appropriate like a stereotypical anti-british site/youtube vid/whatever not on a video about battles where men lost or risked their lives defending Britain...

  • well done germans, 50 left, haha come get some u evil cunts, im so proud to be part of the spitfire skill machine, my grandad did 1 heinkel 111s 3 dorniers and 1 me110 thats 16 kraut lives yes

  • if germany kept on bombing air bases they wud have won

  • Comment removed

  • God did choose sides when you get right down to it.

  • Well UK could avoid it(London Bombings) and attack Germany together with France, when germans attacked Poland in 1939, but no, why should we huh? Germans will never attack us, let them eat Poland alive. We are save! Bullshit of western betrayer!

  • @zentrallondon mate england did get involved when they didnt need to. It just didnt go to well....

  • @lotinga88 Didn't need to get involved in what?

Without the US and England ("Britain") - the Nazi's would have won.

Britain very much needed to be involved :P

And it did go well, with the help of the US we annihilated them.

Maybe i'm entering a conversation I didn't hear the beginning to?

What were you talking about? :)

  • makes me want to cry to hear SIR THERE ARE NO RESERVES THANK GOD for the RAF their bravery n the blunders the Germans made RAF= the 300 Spartans of modern age GUYS GOD BLESS YOU ALL

  • Morons all!

  • You guys are both wrong... everyone knows that Mr. Spock's mind meld on Goring's oversized belly and ego while Frank Zappa confused Hitler with his Stratocaster's "whammy bar", is the real reason why the evil Nazi's lost the battle of the fudge-packer's.... and who really gives a dam 60 years later?

  • Remember that Hitler never planned on any war before 1941 and never against Britain. The Idea of France and England starting war over Poland was ludricous to him. Hindsight is 20/20. Germany could have occupied Britian and therefore crushed resistance in Europe if they had planned on it. Fortunately they did not and we are all here today to say whatever we want!

  • "Try to filter out the Frodo Baggins looking, "expert", annoying guy"

I assume by that comment that you mean either Peter Brothers or Bob Doe, both of whom were highly decorated, ace pilots during the Battle of Britain.

Such a comment demonstrates an abysmal level of ignorance of the what, whos and whys of the RAF victory in The Battle of Britain.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

    Larry Farrell

  • @lcfarrelljr NO you have an absolute ignorance of anything. Jumping to conclusions without asking what I mean. Frodo Baggins refers to the jack ass so called expert. Go somewhere ekse and make lame ass comments stupid fucker!!!

  • @kingtiger88 So you mean the Phd historian and military analyst from the Royal Military Academy who has written a number of books about War?

  • @lcfarrelljr

No, he means the American at RMAS.

    Its a fair comment.

  • Poles, Aussies, Kiwis and Canadians. Where would you be without THEM??

  • He doesnt mean those guys, he means the guy you see at 1:00

  • Even if they had bombed every radar station into oblivion and every air field it wouldn't have been enough. A new radar station could be built in a day or two and hidden in forests and new air fields built out of range of German bombers and fighter cover. There was no way for the Luftwaffe to defeat England and invasion would have failed and been too costly. The "strategic error" Frodo is talking about was actually a diplomatic one.

  • "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few"

    W. Churchill

  • The secret report concluded only 10-15% of German troops would make it to the English coast, most however to ill from seasick to fight once there.

the bodyguard claimed Hitler wanted Britian to have a truce the BOB was a bluff as even if the germans had won they would have not been able to invade.

The bluff was to convince thge Uk to stay out of the war with the RN so large & powerful Germany wanted UK to be neutral.

  • About 2 years ago there was a program about this on the BBC,in it one of Hilters former bodyguards spoke, the Germans had done trials in the barges they were to land on the English coast in,they were made of wood & tiny, troops got sea sick in the slightest bad weather, also with the UK having plans to set the sea alight with oil at the coast.

  • Hitler so smart at most of his career but down by a decision attacking giant russia instead of great britain.

  • He should never have attacked anyone after Poland. He should have continue to build up his military. The biggest mistake he made was to persecute the Jews. He could also have made a truce with France and blockaded England.

  • 1939 Royal Navy most powerful in the world and he tried to blockade remember the Batlle of the atlantic

  • Having watched this series of 5 video clips about the "lost evidence," it truly has the viewer believing that the Government and the people of Great Britain truly owe their very lives to the Pilots of the RAF for standing toe to toe and slugging it out with the Luftwaffe.

It is understood that many RAF Pilots came from many nations; the Battle of Britain proves nations can stand together to defeat tyranny.

  • 90% of the war was between Germany and SU. As simple as that.

  • jklv. Have you forgotten that WW2 was still going long after Germany and the SU were at peace?

  • WWII started in 1939 and ended in 1945, Germany didn't invade Russia in 1941, and after that there was no peace until the end of the war.

  • jklv. There was peace between German and the SU in July 1945. However, WW2 was still going strong. Think about your statement.

  • thats two years SU still not in the war end, begaining still 2 years and if i remember rightly invading Chezlovakia with Germany

  • SU had a neutrality pact with Japan

which helped in there war against Germany freeing up lots of troops and only attacked Japan 3 months after germany surrended Soviets went to great efforts to assure the Japanese that the treaty would still be in force for another twelve months(whilst continuing to prepare their invasion forces.)The Japanese were caught completely by surprise when the Soviets declared war an hour before midnight on 8 August 1945, and invaded simultaneously on three fronts

  • jllv. Maybe not 90%. Remember that the war between Japan and the US was the big one. Japan cleaned up Russia easily in 1905. It took the brave American citizen to win WW2.

  • heard of Burma

type The forgotten 14th into google

  • talpore. I have heard of Burma. This was held by Indian troops. The English had a few posh types there posing and giving orders. The Indians did the fighting.

As for the Japanese. You are correct. It was probably the USSR's involvement which made Japan surrender quickly. The Japanese could have dispersed the population to overcome the A-Bomb treats. The USSR could have quickly overrun much of the country from the north. Many Japanese ended up in the gulags.

  • my Dad if alive would love that him being called a posh type.coming from a family of 14 brothers. He spent 4 years in Mayla and Burma along with a lot of other British regiments.now i know you will say British made up of scots regiments ect so type in English Regiment Burma WW2.

read about the Yorkshire,Warwickshire Regiments and the rear guard action of

The King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry

i think you will get a few supprises.

  • When I talk about the English, I do not include those fine people from the North of English who I admire. I am talking about the posh English who give orders far behind the lines, men like Leigh Mallory in the Battle of Britain. Fine Scotsmen like Dowding, Anzacs like Park and South Africans like Brand were brave men, and certainly not English. Even Saul, the defender of Scotland was Irish and not English.

  • They may not be English but they are fighting for Great Britain. Hitler in fact was Austrian.

  • You talk out of your posterior sir. Heard of the Chindits? Many British soldiers fought there, alongside the Indians & Gurkhas.

My grandfather was in the Leicestershire regiment - one of several that fought there (in the Chindit campaign). You do such brave soldiers a huge dis-service - especially galling when you give yourself a airborne moniker. Go read some history instead of US propaganda.

  • Zaathrus. There were very few English troops in Asia. Most of the defense of India was done by the Indians themselves. The main fighting was achieved by the Americans. Most of the English cut and ran. The exception was Vice Admiral Mountbatten. He was a brave Englishman who did stand up to the Japanese.

  • ?? Have you even looked to see the number of British combat regiments deployed in that theatre? The British did have to withdraw initially - no one disputes that - but contrary to your assertions, never a) abandoned asia b) left the Americans to do all the fighting.

This, Sir, is my final response on the issue. Google "Chindits Burma". Go and find out what actually happened instead of believing US "newsreels".

  • Zaathras. Was Mountbatten anything to do with the Chinits?

  • Ok, not quite the last comment - not Monty, but Major General Orde Wingate DSO.

  • Correct....and unlike Russia....America was fighting a 2 front war like Germany....Germans in the Atlantic and the Japs in the Pacific theater.....Stalin transferred his army from the west in fear of Japan when he realised that Japan was focused on America he sent them head on to meet the the Germans leaving the West with a skeleton army.

  • Canes. Thank you. We can never forget the heroism of the United States troops who won the war. The USSR helped too.

  • @Canesnumber1stunner Well atleast we all worked together though i think if America stepped in the war sooner there wouldn't have been as much damage as there was thanks to Japan! they actually kind of saved Europe lol but America didn't win WW2 we all did Europe, America etc not just America one nation cannot win a world war it is simply not possible.

Credit goes to all the nations that fought for the right cause.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne maybe in the Pacific but not in Europe don't start thinking Americans are the best brave and that bull shit we all fought together mate if it was America ALONE against Japan and the rest of europe you wouldn't be "America" anymore the problem with some Americans is that they are too proud and pride comes before a fall.... America would be a greater Nation without these bragging fags... living in it.

  • Robby. The biggest part of WW2 was the war of Japan vs the US. The sooner you English realize that your effort was tiny, the better. The only major fight the English took part in was the retreat from France.

  • @EasyCompanyAirborne The sooner you realize if it hadn't of been for France! you wouldn't have had your independence. The American might have the Arsenal! How many do they kill in friendly fire. Britain have the best Army in the world.

  • But the French surrendered...as usual

  • Paddy & Easy - WW 2 is long over and the allies won - I remind you both that England and America were not the only 2 countries involved - Canada and others also fought and shed their blood - the arguements going on here are a bit childish - the insults uncalled for - 46 corner you are not helping - but I agree that the British are supposed to be known for their civility & politeness - are you listening Paddy & Americans for their generosity and kindness are you listening Easy. Nuff" said!!!!

  • As usual they forget about Polish pilots (squadron 303 especially) that spilt their blood for England and as a reward they were forbidden to fly over London in the parade + their country was sold to Stalin.

  • They don't mention any nationalities in this documentary. Yes, the Poles were badly treated - I live in Poland so I realise more than many. But in England you will find many people who understand the sacrifices the Poles (and Czechs, Dutch, Free French, Commonwealth, and American pilots) made. There is also a large Polish war memorial on the western outskirts of London. Just as in Warsaw there is a memorial to Allied airmen who died trying to supply the uprising in '44.

  • "As usual they forget about Polish pilots (squadron 303 especially) that spilt their blood for England and as a reward they were forbidden to fly over London in the parade + their country was sold to Stalin"

Hang on pal! What are you talking about they spilt their blood for England???

IT WAS THE GERMENS INVADING POLAND THAT GOT ENGLAND IN THE WAR IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!. So it was the English spilling their blood for poland! Get your facts right!!

  • paddy. Don't insult the Poles, you piece of filth.

  • Hey retard boy i am not insulting the polish at all!! I am saving that for a freak like you!!

  • I apologise if I have written a comment to you before Paddy6062 but please take it easy - your blood pressure must be sky high with all this badmouthing people. It's probably better that you do it here than in reality - I imagine you are a vicar on the Dorset coast in real life. lol corner

  • german families hid alot of jews some of the fews they hid was my family

  • Does anyone know about the Americans killed in this battle?

  • There was hardly any American pilots in the Battle of Britain, America had not entered the war, there was only a handfull of Americans who went over to Britain

  • yes seven Americans fought in the battle of Britain

They had their American citizenship taken away from them for joining the RAF. One was killed in the battle (W.M.L. Fiske) and five others died over the following year. Only one survived the war. Repect

  • Johnny. Agree with that! Maximum respect. The English owe them everything.

  • What Americans?

  • John. The Americans who Churchill said won the Battle of Britain. Churchill called these great Americans "the Few". We owe them everything.

  • EasyCompanyAirborne you are making yourself look so retarded!!! And so stupid if you think 7 us airmen won the battle of britain!

    you sad little freak!

  • I so agree with you Paddy i'm pretty tired of some americans boasting about being so powerful winning ww2 and all that bullshit they already saw their backsides in Pearl Harbour, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Gulf Wars and what next? and you're definitely right 7 airmen did not win the Battle of Britain! 7 Airmen is nothing.
