if I could express what I feel when I hear this 1958 song, but I miss many words... so beautifull tune! This one has been cutted for eternity! Many thanks to share History!
Never heard this version before, but I love it! Granted, nthenother version IS my favorite, but there is some awesome saaaanging going on here. Thanks!
@friaraidan It's cool to hear the Hammond in the early takes. It was all part of the charm. They are recording in a church, and the song is a prayer. Such a great day in pop music history. Whatever the producer eventually did with mic placement on the final take was wonderful. The natural reverb sounds awesome. The vinyl records we know are 13 copies from the original! This is 1st generation here. Stunning.

Wow! what a great find. So nice to hear an earlier version. Sounds so clean. The intro vocals always kill me on this. It's so cool.

Arlene and all the group-You rock, no matter what wurlitzer or not - the trademark of a great song is the voices making love to that song-
No matter what the background is doing (instruments)

that Wurlitzer or whatever sounds awful. You can really hear it from like three quarters through to the end.
