  • The decade moon, or what ever, the steps of obesity are over weight, obesity, and then morbidly obsess so go gets a edumacstion

  • Don't feel bad Australia, you're still not as stupid as Texas.

  • Eating healthy doesn't cost any more if you buy fruit/veges from markets, and going running/walking/cycling/swimming costs you nothing or very little. It's just being lazy claiming anything else.

  • eating healthy costs too frigging much sometimes and gyms are too expansive the government could fix both these things i go to gym everyday

  • this is a very well designed commercial in my opinion

  • Immigrants, and no doesnt make me a bloody racist if I am talkin about caucasian Australians if you must kno i am an immigrant aswell, and besides if you havent noticed its immigrants that lower down the obesity percentile in australia,

  • survey shows 70.5% of make and 65% of female here are obese and or overweight.... i wonder what the true stats when they take out emmigrants from the survey...

  • @issamm Emigrants? Australians living overseas? I don't think they are part of the survey.

Or did you mean immigrant? In which case your comment just makes you just another Australian complaining about foreigners.

So which one is it: are you stupid or racist?

  • dude we need this in america

  • @givemesomewaffles need what? they don't advertise against obesity in america?

  • You can notice his wife was getting pretty chunky too at 0:11 to 0:15... too bad she didn't show up at the end though. Would've loved to see how fat she got. Guess she died :(

  • what a brilliant ad!

go australia. they need to show ads like this in the u.s.

  • Australia is good at making fun of other countries but they are fast catching up with the Americans.

  • @GuysSeriously Its Britain and Australia that always talk shit about Americans.

Yet they aren't the healthiest countries either.

  • @dehBix Isn't that bizarre? Yet both countries seem to like fast food FAR more than Americans or Canadians (apparently they don't know that there is a country called 'Canada')... And the Britsh lower class have had a serious weight problem (it must be those sausages and "egg and chip") for at least 70 years...

  • @GuysSeriously Oh, Australians did, and overpassed Americans with admirable celerity... (That means they got fact amazingly quickly.)

  • We need an american add like this hehe

  • I have an idea, make doors thinner.

  • And let that be a lesson to all you fatties out there.

  • And that comment right there is why this is such an issue, the denial of a real and very growing health issue. He looks very overweight, though how he "looks" is actually besides the point. The issue is that there are a range of health issues that arise from being overweight and obese.

Unfortunately many people only accept it's an issue when it's too late for them or a loved one.

  • Yeah, I understand your point. I'm just saying, I think the commercial could have been more powerful if it showed a dramatic change....I felt like its argument was a bit weakened.

  • If it showed someone too obese, far less people would have been able to relate to it, or would have felt it referred to "them". By showing that "obese" is not some amazingly huge guy, but someone like this, it might bring it home a little more.

It certainly did for me, and I'm 88kg. Am determined to get back down to 80kg now!

  • In that case, good luck!
