Lovely little gal you have there. Not only has my 18 year old grey started plucking, but she laid her first egg a couple of days ago. I'm still upset. It's hard to know what gets into these little ones.....

@bigbadbarb sometimes they get too emotionally attached to their owners. I had to back off from cuddiling with her.

@brincatmark At the time the video was shot, she flew all over the house. Now the poor bird is plucked, but we are working on getting her better. All the windows are closed at all times.

@Martinguy12 Do as much homework as you can before getting an african grey. They are very emotional & a bit neurotic, however, very smart and wonderful. Please know what you're getting into. What would you like me to elaborate on?

fedew, and everyone...I rescued a Grey myself. No worries on your english (you know more about our language than we do yours, so I say good on you). My Grey is 5 years old. I rescued him 6 months ago, along with two Quaker parrots. The quakers talk like crazy, and I hope they teach the grey a few things. I'm amazed at how smart birds are. I say keep spending good time, and one day the birds will talk like crazy. They do bond with a caring owner. I'm happy mine is happy with my environment.

i have one, his name is Hans, we are from argentina, he is 12 years old. You parrot make me cry. my parrot doesnt talk too much but he knows how to tell me things, when he is hungry, he know how to make me know his hunger, he dont talk much but when he needs something, he is very inteligent and ask me everithing he wants. sorry my english,
