i'm hungarian and i don't always understand english singers, but he sings so clearly! i love him and all of his songs!! and that high-pitched sound!!! LOL
Isnt Dennis like 37 or 38 when this was made? Isnt that a little too old to be breaking into the "rock and roll" business? I love it when he talks to his mom from his apartment wih the 20 somethings.

Dennis has all the talent in the world, but from what I've seen and read, he has the ultimate artist's temperment. I've actually met him (1991 Styx EotC tour in Minneapolis) and he's very personable; he signed my Back to the World CD after some initial reluctance. But he goes all to cock if he's too far away from Suzanne (aka LadyBabe) for too long. If Dennis were less fragile, he would be higher up in the Rock pantheon than he is. And IMHO, he deserves to be that high up.
Dennis should tour with Styx and share keyboard duties with Larry and sing his songs. They could all showcase their strengths. If you think about it, it makes sense and smells like money> no pun intented!
@suzyqrose Dennis already tours with a keyboardist in his solo band and performs out front most of the time anyways, plus Gowan is excellent. it will happen X
@suzyqrose Dennis started playing more keyboards in concert in recent years. However JY and Tommy refuse to invite Dennis back (envious, jealous jerks they are). They are re-writing Styx history by eradicating DDY's name from its website, its history. DDY knew the Panozzos had potential when he heard them play as a kid and he formed Styx with them. JY and Tommy developed Van Halen syndrome with their egos as of 1999 and their revisonism is as bad as the Van Halen brothers.
i can imagine this song being a Styx single

This song is so inspirational. It's one of my favorites just because of what he's saying in the lyrics. Every time I listen to it it motivates me.
"Don't wait for hereos, believe in yourself, make your own choices." What a great line and there are many other great lines in this song.

@wakaw07 With all due respect, there would be no need for Larry if Dennis went back to Styx.
