Actually, this song is about the Iraq War and how the Soldiers are affacted by it. Patrick is singing as to be one of them (especially they had some gigs right in the danger zone of the Iraq to support and assistance the soldiers, from where he got his impressions) to reflect the crucial situation more intenive. At least, it all shall seem like a dream and the nightmare would end by awakening.

Only the video is dedicated to the firefighter, but the song has another history.

He was a LAFD Firefighter who passed away. One of his partner was injured but survived. Minutes before he died, he actually saved a female lost with no path. More than a hero if you tell me. Great guy!

Brent was my cousin and i miss him so much! I was at Sherri and Glenn Lovrien's house before the candle light vigil and the funeral and it was really sad for us all. When i was little i use to tell Brent and his Brother that i was going to marry them, but that was before i knew better. Thank you for making this video, Brent will always be in my heart! Brent was an amazing man. . .I dated him again recently and lived with him for a year and a half in Bellflower, CA. He was truly an amazing human being. He had such motivation and tenacity -- he was a pillar for mankind. He never wanted anyone to walk in front of or behind him, but right beside him. He had a smile that stretched from ear to ear and a voice that was unforgettable. Brent is my hero and I will love him forever.
