  • damn, i coulda used the chrome emblem, my chrome is ppeeling off. :((

  • What's so difficult about worn rear shocks that the car has to be scrapped? It didn't look as though the engine was burning oil.

  • it's a pity, it looks like the only problem was worn out self-levelling rear suspension

you can a more conventional non-levelling setup from Jaguar for circa $450 if memory serves correctly. Such a shame, some of the cars that were scrapped

  • A beautiful car... in the wrongs hands...

  • Most of the "nicer" cars, such as Audis, BMWs, Mercedes-Benzes, Jaguars, Lexuses, Infinitis, Range Rovers, Volvo S80s and etc that were destroyed in the program, were in pretty bad shape or in the need of very expensive repairs. The Jaguar in the video is a case in point. It looked "decent" from a distance, but judging by the scary suspension hop, it was only fit for the scrap.

  • @JELH i wouldnt quite say this jag shouldve been scrapped, atleast not without doing a thourough inspection first. but it was definetly neglected and poorly maintained. such a shame too. it may have been fixable, but in its current state, this program was definetly the best move on the owners behalf for getting the most money on the trade in. its just a shame it came to that point in the first place

  • @83RS That was my point. Maybe the Jaguar didn't need an expensive repair, but why would bother fixing it if Uncle Sam is offering you $3,500 or 4,500 if you trade for a more economical brand new car? Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the program, but it was simply an opportunity the owner couldn't refuse if the car was running poorly and he/she reckoned it wasn't worth fixing it.

  • @JELH i think the program was a great idea, just poorly planned. if the vehicles' fates would have been a little more forgiving, say, like holding an auction to sell them off to other people in need (like used car dealers), then i wouldnt have been against it in the slightest. but to blow the engines up and then scrap the cars?? thats just pure greed and selfishness on Obamas behalf. but u r right, the previous owner would've been a moron to not take that deal on gettin out of that jag

  • @83RS Indeed, it was very poorly planned. I mean if the idea of disabling the engine to prevent the "clunker" to be sold, why couldn't they just remove the engine's ECU? Removing the engine's ECU, wouldn't harm the used car parts sales business. Besides, what makes the government think that some of these cars didn't slip through the net and ended-up in Mexico? There was a similar program in Germany and many old cars that were traded-in, were smuggled to East Europe, Middle-East and Africa.

  • @83RS May I ask you what dealer do you work for?

  • @JELH its a Jeep Chrysler Dodge Fiat and Mazda dealer located in Virginia

  • @83RS Thank you.

  • I can't stand to watch a Jag be mistreated.

  • What a fucken moron

  • I CAN DO A BETTER BURNOUT IN MY HOT WHEELS NODDY CAR

  • that car sir is not a "pile"

  • @jackzvid this particular one was. unmaintained and neglected

  • @83RS if it was a pile how come the paint was great

  • @10yroldcarlover you got alot to learn kid. if say, a car had been sitting in the woods for 22 years, and i pulled it out, and gave it a good paint job, would that make it no less of a pile??

  • @83RS yea its still shit but your example isnt of that jag

  • @10yroldcarlover trust me, this was a pile solely because its owner wasnt maintaining it very well. that doesnt mean it wasnt salvagable, for it could've been a nice daily driver with not tooo much money invested.

  • genocide

  • it's the owners choice to do what he wants with his car and if the owner wants to destroy it well thats his choice

  • WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?

  • 0:21

    bouncy bouncy bouncy!!!

RIP Jaguar and other CFC victims. :(

  • That guy walked like he had Obama stuck up his ass.

  • worlds poorest effort at a burnout?

  • @donkeykong8u sorry man, it was too early in the work day to properly do it

  • @83RS haha all goods :P

  • everyone happy now that we have a nigger president yea great idea america

  • you are a waste ,you should recycle the driver.i would have paid good money for this rare car.they didnt make many of these .daimler would turn in his grave.cash for clunkers about as thought out as the iraq war.as we the rest of the world would say ..no suprises here! GO USA.(ps hows that iol well?)

  • sad...:'( Made me cry

  • Let's by a crap KIA and destroy some decent heritage....

  • That car is still in mint shape, that program was a waste

  • What car did the former Jaguar owner trade it for?

  • Awesome burnout!

  • Its a rape.

  • i got one of these. love these old clunkers, i got a XJR to match it. very nice cars to have

  • @uploaded113redone doesnt it make you sad and pissed off to see your car get destroyed by some stupid wasteful program?

  • @fergiman

haha its okay my dads company buys all these cars and we make lots of money off them :-)

  • Sad. Why don't you just go an junk that perfectly good Sprinter van while you're at it? The van is like brand new, but for the sake of the planet lets destroy it also. Fucking stupid Obama. Wake up America! Bunch of sheep.

  • omg I always wanted a jag... omg peel it while ya can... till thety come to blow the engine out of her with salt and silica... sigh.

  • how is that a pile!? thats fucking nicer then any new ford car you can by. higher quality anyway.

  • People that's have no experience with theses cars have there opinions, but Jaguars are beautiful well put together cars.

  • why didn't they donate to volunteer organizations?

  • Some liberal Democrat is pissed that I'm posting my ideas on all the clunker videos. A lot of my stuff has been marked spam. I ain't sellin' anything! Obama can't afford to let the truth be known about his policies. Click "show" the spam to see what I've written recently! I feel like I live in Communist China.

  • The warm-and-fuzzy Obama doll liberal Democrats hold dear to their hearts is revealed here to be--like a teddy bear or the Tooth Fairy--a fiction. Perhaps it is their way of suspending disbelief so as to remain on the ego trip that got this radical Leftist elected president. Many of them imagine fine and noble sentiments running through His divine mind when he learns of the damage he caused. Irrelevant! All that matters is the damage he caused. Wake the hell up, you damned, childish fools!

  • The Liberal Democrat in Chief is pissed. You, the American people, living your lives freely, have failed to fall into statistical patterns that please His sensibilities. C4C is only the beginning of how he will now have to use the force of government to secure his pleasure. First on his list of priorities is how he FEELS about the results of your behavior. Second on the list is that he make his wife proud of her country, who is also displeased by your excess. Shape up, America!!

  • I'm still waiting for someone to give me a good answer how it helps an economy for the government to pay people NOT to work for the last $4500 toward their new ride. Economies are built from people serving their fellow man. C4C pays them to NOT serve while punishing tax payers, who DID serve and now get nothing for it. If you can afford a car bill, you can afford to wait/save for your new car without stealing money from taxpayers. You would be helping the economy by working for that money.

  • The Democrat-run Senate's version of C4C was inserted into a war supplemental funding bill over Republican objections. This was appropriate because C4C is in effect the Obama administration's military intelligence operation directed against the American people. Its mission was to destroy with impunity 700,000 of our nation's valuable automotive assets. The operation was a success. DUST YOURSELF OFF, AMERICA,

  • Dignity from the sort of people who get their kicks in junkyards? Riiiight

  • nice burn & Very nice JAG ,, but why all that ,, why destroy it

  • This is how Democrats puff themselves up. They think they're saving the world. All religions have their sacrificial rites.

  • Because Obama and the Democrats in Congress are on an ego trip to show solidarity with all the less prosperous, socialist nations of the world. They're cutting us down to size. Problem now is, you're all going to have to fend for yourselves while we rebuild from this attack.

  • eh. . . shame to see a ride that could have sold for 3 grand get trashed.

  • pretty jag

  • Put yourself in the mind of a man who sees that and wants nothing but to destroy it. O-bots put such a man in the White House!

  • true

  • Cars like this give working class people a taste of the good life while helping them get to work at the same time. Only rich people could afford these just 10-15 years ago. Obama and the Democrats in Congress are very presumptuous people. They see cars as nothing but people-movers. And they don't see people as having souls that need fulfillment. They just see "workers". Like a kind of ant!! Vote these Democrats out of office in 2010!!

  • C4C: Smart Politics. If Congress taxes you $500 to create auto jobs, the victims are invisible and are only revealed by asking what you would have done with the $500 if left in your hands. Your own spending would have created jobs too but you can't point to who the beneficiaries would have been. They're invisible. Politicians love making victims of their policies invisible & beneficiaries visible because the beneficiaries will know who to vote for and victims won't know who to blame.

  • C4C Dumb Economics: Any so-called stimulus program is a ruse. Government increases its spending only by reducing private spending equivalently. Whether government finances its added spending by hiking taxes, borrowing, or by inflating the currency, the added spending will be offset by reduced private spending. Plus, private spending's much more efficient than government spending replacing it because people act more carefully spending their own money than spending other people's money.

  • LOL, posi burnout!

  • Great set of backwards commas. I'm gonna tell AlGore about the tire smoke. Ha ha just kidding.

  • Thats a nice jag, It just looks like it needs some new shocks! hahaha

  • you have got to be kinding me that is far from warn out, my 2003 car could not do taht, thats classic car

  • you want to see a old worn out pile? you should see my crap car! over 200k and ragged! but its not a clunker by definition? Not that i would have participated in the program any ways because i am strongly opposed to it all!! WAY TOO MUCH GOVERNMENT INVOLVEMENT.........throwing out money they dont have! what about the schools all over the country suffering budget shortfalls and laying off teachers? wouldnt that money have been better spent on something worth while? its sad times were in now.....

  • fuckin awesome
