  • Funny isn't it, how the people who support abortion bewail the death of 18,000 people, supposedly, in America every year because of their healthcare system. And the same people who are content with the death of 1 million unborn babies devote a lot of time to trying to get murderers off death row.

Its not about the lives of uninsured people or even of the condemned people its about their philosophy toward life.

  • This man seems to be the last hope for a decent president. HUCKABEE 2012!

  • @Likwidlyric lol... the noecons and teabaggers have split the republican vote... obama has united democrats... obama 2012!!!!!!

  • I like the canned laugh at the start. And Janet Napaltanio (sp) never said anything close to "wanting to stop calling it swine flu because it would hurt pig's feelings"... If you start a little Oriely like talk point statement, it doesnt help you to start with a flat out lie. Then again, it hasnt hurt Bill Oriely.

  • Comments like THESE remind me why I'm pro-life. Thank god for people like this patriot.

  • batshit crazy.

  • how so?

  • Given the fact that evolution is bogus, it is then a valid conclusion to give up research on viruses and sit back and say: Hey, it's designed to kill us by GOD. People, give up your vain and audacious attempts to understand or even change the plan of the ever-living GOD.

Peace to you Republican brothers and sisters.

  • Why, if I so ask, do you think he believes that? Not believing in evolution doesn't have anything to do with what you're talking about. You seemed to just draw out some conclusion from your own stereotype.

    Is this any more valid:

Given that there is no God, burn all the churches and private schools and eliminate all morals. every man for himself, just as natural selection intended.

No. It's not any more valid than your stereotype. Both are created by fools who don't understand another belief.

  • "Given that there is no God, burn all the churches and private schools and eliminate all morals. every man for himself"

I was talking about the evolutionary process not theological philosophy, but yeah there is no god.

If young earth creationism were true however, my conclusion would be the valid one since it would be vain to intervene in the plan of a perfect plan of an infallible designer.

Huckabee is the one who is crazy, not me.

  • No. You are taking your own stereotype and judging others by it. The fact that one Muslim blows themselves up does not make all Muslims crazy suicide bomber. The fact that one creationist thinks that way does not mean they all are that way.

use some common sense and don't judge a book by its color.

  • evidence that evolution is bogus?

  • The only change Obama has made is raising inflation and promoting abortion. He is a joke. Go to my page is if you want to know why Im saying this.

  • This is why I worked for him in 2008, and plan to work for him again in 2012.

  • I'm with you on that one Leefstrong!!! :) Huckabee 2012!!!

  • Is he really running again? :O

I hear there is a big conspiracy tho that Mitt Romney is gonna win nomination this time tho :/ and even if he wins, it's gonna be hard beating an incumbent.

  • I apologise for going off on a tangent about torture when this video wasn't about this.

  • It's allright man. At least you have an opinion on the issue; we need more people in this country to take sides on issues like this and abortion.

  • Huckabee 2012

  • USA why didn't you elect this man President? Have you lost all the moral character that once made you great?

  • Yes, I understood how he connected them, I just think it was a crass way to start a debate over abortion.

Personally, I don't understand how the Republican right are so principled over abortion yet fairly flexible when it comes to torture.

  • I'm a (R) and don't condone torture, and neither do any other republicans.

  • I think this displays an alarming lack of moral clarity. To allow tens, hundred, or even thousands of people die or be maimed for life because we cannot cause any duress to non uniformed terrorist combatants who were at the highest level of Al Quaeda command.

Water boarding is the most extreme and probably the most uncomfortable method we have used, and it hardly compared to the limb breaking, pliers, dismemberment, and other real tortures too horrifying to mention.

    Discomfort is not torture.

  • I can appreciate the genuine fear that terrorism inflicts on a people but torture doesn't work and the US government use to prosecute waterboadering as torture.

But also, I think a government's character is displayed in how it treats its enemies. Once you mimic the actions of those you once condemned then you lose the moral highground. Believing that you are the 'good guys' isn't enough.

It's not an easy task, I'll give you that.

  • The way waterboardig was carried out on American soldiers was rather different than the CIA does it. We went through enourmous legal hoops to figure out what we cold and could not do legally.

An American soldier was getting drowned, kicked in the balls, and killed afterwords. Also, it is a significant difference that they were uniformed soldiers.

The CIA ran these on only the masterminds, in HIGHLY controlled settings which were to be conducted in the way deemed legal.

  • Our character is largely determined indeed by our treatment of our enemies, it is exceptional.

Terrorists often are captured and when they realize everytig about the United States was a lie, give information with no pressue.

When however it is these sadistic mastermind types like the three we waterboarded, I think the lives we could have saved is well worth it.

We have to be careful though, as it is a subjective slippery slope.

  • Let's try again....this attempt at humour and news is beyond me.

For one, the reason some flu viruses get more attention than 'normal human flu' is that not only are those with weak immune systems vunerable (i.e. the elderly) but also fit and healthy adults.

Secondly, to suggest a link between government action over swine flu with abortion laws is rediculous. Although, I will admit that I will never understand USA's politicians obsession over abortion.

  • The point between linking the issues is that, so far, only 1 child in the US has died from the swine flu, but over 1 million will die from abortion.
