They're nothing like Bloc Party or Los Camesinos - They just use the same kind of tunes as them - Foreigner are much better than both bands in my opinion.

2. there is major differences in styles, like tempo, instrumentation, melodies, tonality, all the things that create differences between songs...

they have similarities, if you pay attention to the vocals and vocals only. im gonna stop now before this turns into a full on rant
