substrate is "old used redsea flora base" at the bottom, a small layer of laterite, then course black pebbles, then topped off with aquaone fine black gravel.
"sorry for the late reply, i forgot about this"
"tank has now been pulled down and made into a Geophagus Tapajos setup"
bet u have some exp. with the crystal red shrimp so plz help me out. my CRSs were swimming around like crazy and above the waterline. sometimes the climped onto the HOB filter intake tube all the way to the top and sticked their heads out the water for a few seconds, and then they realized there was no water so they jumped back to the water and they keep doing that still. its really strange, i have tested my water also, seem fine.
@KharmaKazi10 the temp is around 74. thanks for the reply. they getting better now. like u have stated above. they were new to the tank. i was so scared because i paid much money to get them. thanks again.
not sure how many shrimps Mango ? but time to dig as many cherries out as i can again for geo food. wish i never put the cherries in, now i can't remove them :(
yep my only planted tank left now Plantnut and bugger all maintenance :)
i heard somewhere you shouldn't put 2 different shrimp together because of cross breeding, do you have any problems with this?

@popeyeswife
crystal red shrimp and red cherry shrimp can't cross breed, they are 2 different species.
although saying that red cherry shrimp are prolific breeders and can out compete the crystal red shrimps for food
