@emt1023 You have to downgrade.  It's not that hard to do if you have all of the proper tools. I was on ios4 and I successfully downgraded to 3.1.2.

Worked flawlessly on my laptop running windows7 32bit. Im responding while tethering. I have it recongized as a home network. Can I rename that to **********'s iphone instead?

i learned how to downgrade in 1 day, did the same as you and upgaded to 3.1.3 and i simply looked in google "Downgrade ipodtouch and many pages appeared, choose ur model etc. and install, then when ur ipod is in recovery mode just in itunes press shift-restore, after that ur documents will appear, choose the one you downloaded for the downgrade and accept and thats all, thats it, rejailbreak, Yay, ur jailbroken ipodtouch is back! O_O

it's called weathericon, and for some strange reason it doesn't work for me anymore as of last week. See if it works for you.

it works but i just forgot to set my city in the iphone's native weather app. if you don't, a question mark will appear where the temperature should be.

yea, wifi is a finicky iphone feature. The internal wifi module is very weak and unreliable, even in your own home. when my macbook has full signal bars the iphone only has one or two. wifi issues can be mostly solved by forgetting the network and then reestablishing connection, reset network settings, or doing a hard restart by holding down the the home and power buttons until the apple logo is showing. Hope this helps for future wifi issues.

att won't charge you but i've read some forums where some people got slapped in the face with overage charges because they used it too much. I use about 3-4 gigs a month for data and i've been tethering for about 1 year now with no overage charges attached. All i can say is to just play it safe and don't use it too much.

the new firmware 3.1.2 does require the phone to be jailbroken. Unless if you have a phone that still has 3.0 or 3.0.1, jailbroken phones are a necessity for practically every software modification these days.

Doesnt work. Is one supposed to reboot right when the Sinful installation prompts it, or should we just exit Cydia after install is done to Reset Settings, and THEN reboot?

i rebooted and THEN reset network settings.

once again, make sure you DO NOT have third party tethering apps such as mywi or pdanet installed. also if you have other settings installed such as ones from ben.m, unassign the profile. do all this BEFORE installing the tethering package from cydia.
