  • AMAZING AMONG SO MANY OF BRUCE

    JEFF

  • Awesome footage, always a fantastic cover by the quenticential Great One. Thanks for sharing it!

  • WOOW!! When you walk in the room???? :))

  • Love it!!!!!

  • Bruce, always the Boss! Another good version is Agnetha´s (ex-ABBA). Thanks for posting. Greetings from São Paulo, Brazil.

  • I liked the Searchers, but I love the energy of this one.

  • Great video and great song check out my version

  • Bruce has not lost power in his voice. It may seem like that for you. But if you learn to listen to his voice (just pick another song from this concert) you may notice that Bruce has the talent to use his voice in different ways. Don't be fooled. But ofcourse any singer could have a bad day with his voice. If you listen well you could actually hear that Bruce's voice is very strong on this one.

  • To all of the critics..this was more than likely a one off by Bruce and the band by request with no rehearsal ( which on this tour they were very prone to do) Back off...its entertainment!!

  • I'm afraid Bruce has lost much of the power in his voice.

  • Together with Elvis and Dylan, Bruce is the greatest of all time. So to all the critics out there: Take a hike to "shutty town" and listn to justin bieber

  • Being a Searchers fan this version by the Boss gives me goose pimples, He's a knock out, Thanks for the post, Tezza the Manch..........

  • Springsteen could have done sooooo much better!!!

  • Bruce...sorry but Jackie DeShannon owns this....

  • @rangoostar Actually the best version of this song i think is done by Karla Bonoff.

  • @nyrichiek Well going to listen to it.....but all Karla Bonoff needs to do IS WALK IN THE ROOM....thanks for the heads up!

  • Best youtube video ever...

  • Absolutely brilliant

  • OMG! He still looks sooooo hot after all these years! Whatta man!

  • DeShannon, Searchers, they were mine in the early sixties, and now so are you Bruce.

  • Anyone know the chords to this song? I can make out the A, but the quality here isn't the best.

  • @soneric84

To play along with this version:

    B-F#-E-F#-B-G#m-E-F#-B

Bridge: E-Eb-F#-?-? not sure but it comes out of the bridge in F# . Have fun!

  • so effin' cool that he did this! l love Jackie and apparently so does Bruce!

  • folks actually feel the need to critique Bruce?

y'all are thieves in the house of love n' u can not be trusted.

  • Sorry Bruce: Jackie Deshannon - the Boss: 1-0.

  • Great Great GreaT!!!

  • The BOSS does it again ! OMG that man will live on ! he is just awsome for his age ! i was a little girl when he started out ! and I still love his music! it has gonen better and better!! God Bless you Bruce! AMEN!

  • Great vid man, watch it every week!

  • I liked the young Bruce, but i love!!!!!!!!!!!!!the older Bruce, what a awesome engergentic performance, i love this rendition of this 60s classic, he looks hes having so much fun with it!!!!!!!!! and hes lookin pretty sexy here as well!!!!!!!!

  • Now that's quality....and no mistake.

  • The Prince of Rock Meets the Princess. Awesome!!!

  • just great!!

  • barneypip you are just obviously nieve. bruce is a super star and your opinion is worthless to anyone who has half an ear for good music. i guess you forgot to include justin beiber in your names of stars.

  • Well, this made me very happy! Been putting the original on a loop on Spotify for a week and here I discover that our Boss likes it too! Here's to many more years for Jackie and Bruce!

  • I was at this show, too. It was glorious.

  • Great:)

  • I love Bruce Sprinsteen, I'm a major fan. I love this song. I love Jackie DeShannon's version ( the woman wrote it before I was born) & so many versions are great from the writer, the Searchers, Agathia (ABBA), Paul Carrack, etc. But the best live version so far is Status Quo- check it out. Amazing.

  • Nice rendition, but this song belongs to The Searchers, hands down. Jackie DeShannon was a great songwriter.

  • @pborrellij

is a great song writer don't put in the ground just yet.

    :)

  • @kirbyeye

Very true!! I'm very happy that Jackie is still with us!

  • @pborrellij You should give a listen to Pam Tillis cover this tune. She does an amazing job.

  • he is so hot

  • This man is like good wine...The older he gets the hotter he looks

  • THE PROPHET OF ROCK....GOD BLESS

  • What an awesome cover. This song fits Springsteen's style perfectly: when he does covers like this, it's truly a celebration of rock 'n' roll.

  • What only Springsteen fans realize is that when Bruce does songs from the 50's and 60's in concert, he's PAYING HOMAGE to the artists that brought them to us originally, and his own music is very influenced by it. Just listen to Sherry Darling and if you can sit still through that song, check your pulse! Love you, BOSSMAN

  • What only Springsteen fans don't realize is that Bruce holds the music of the 60's like this one in such high regard, he's paying TRIBUTE for god's sakes! And his own music is very heavily influenced by it...just listen to Sherry Darling and if you can sit still through that song....check your pulse!!! Love you, BOSSMAN

  • anybody that says the boss is over rated, should never have the right to talk about music, the boss must be one of the biggest artists of all time,if you dont agree, stick to listening to the spice girls(PERIOD)

  • @barneypip - Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Obviously you are not a Springsteen fan.

My channel is mainly for Springsteen fans. Have a great day!

  • @TheMagikRat I'm not a huge Bruce Springsteen fan, but this is the best rendition I know.Should have been a big hit!

  • @barneypip

In England we would call you a tosser - Not sure about the American equivalent but I'm sure you get the picture.

You guys don't have to many great exports perhaps you should show more pride and support in one the few you do have.

  • @barneypip

Do you get Tom Waits? Suppose not... now shut up and get back to britney world...

  • @karma123 .....Ha Ha Ha as Jack Bruce said 40 years ago " What a bringdown"

  • @barneypip paul carrack does a great version. you have to understand the people who follow Bruce really think that he is some kind of God It's pretty pathetic, the hero worship thing. kind of sickening actually. I think he is a great talent but i'm not ready to annoint him the next coming of JC.

  • @barneypip You're right, of course. It's a terrible rendition of a wonderful song, and Springsteen is very overrated. Unfortunately, he has a huge legion of fans who can't be reasoned with.

  • Merci MagikRat, toutes tes vidéo sont très appréciées de la Française que je suis. Merci, merci, merci ! (and God bless Bruce)

  • The fact The Boss covered one of the best Searchers songs finally makes me a fan of his overplayed arse. Nice cover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This stirs up a lot of emotions in me:

When he was touring after the Rising album, I saw him together with my X-girlfriend at a concert in Copenhagen. The greatest concert of my life so far.

    What a magnificient man!

  • I 've loved this song for more than 40 years, and to hear it done by one of the most exciting singers ever---well, it just doesn't get any better than this.

  • Fantastic!

  • Very nice!!!

  • This is why the "E-Streeters" are unmmatched. Performing a "classic" tune from the mid sixties and making it sound "flesh'. These mofo's rule!

  • You are sooooo Cute in this and that and everything.......Kisses and Hugs....all Around. Hee Hee Yeah...Oh cares anyway......SWAK

  • My Lovely Rat Baby I Love you anyway and always. NO QUESTION ABOUT IT......

  • For a hot summer night. Bruce Springsteen pays tribute to the poetic genius of Jackie de Shannon.

  • that was pretty amazing! thx for posting.

  • Awesome....great song brilliantly performed by the master performer

  • Springsteen pays tribute to the great Jackie de Shannon. Brilliant lyrics,

  • Like he was born to sing it! Holy crap, this guy has got so much soul, it leaks out with every note....

  • By far my favorite live cover performance by him EVER.

  • The original by the writer of it, Jackie DeShannon will always be the masterpiece. The Searchers did a great job too. there have been other good covers. The thing that makes Springsteen's version unique, is that he not only preserves the song's style, but delivers the lyrics with his own knowing passion. This guy really works his butt of to give quality concerts. He never, never, never mails it in.

  • the boss

  • @grbosss He's helped so many people, I think God will be good to him.

  • Excellent video!! Thanks for the Bruce juice - you are the best!!

  • I went to 3 out of 4 that week at the Spectrum and this is the one I missed. Oh well! Thank God for youtube and TheMagikRat. Great video, thanks. Check out the bricks of the Spectrum behind the stage. Man, I have some memories of that building. One of the best Bootlegs ever is the Bottom Line 8/15/75, the day BTRwas released. It had this song and "And Then She Kissed Me". The album cover featured a '78 era picture on an album recorded in '75. It doesn't seem to matter now. It did back then.

  • this song by the searchers knocked the beatles and rolling stones off my victrolia.

    i wore out both sides

  • first since 1976!!!

  • Wow. Dammit, I *knew* I should have gone to the show that night. Great song, and I *love* the smile on his face at the end. Great video. Thanks!

  • thanks so much for sharing! excellent camera work

  • Wow, excellent video & performance. Thanks for posting it!

  • Looks like it was shot by Springsteens people. Awesome! Thanks!

  • Tremenda canción. Y Bruce... ¡qué tío! Fijaos al final de la canción, se le ve tan feliz. 40 años en los escenarios y se le ve la misma ilusión de un principiante. Chapeau!

  • This is amazing. It's like going back in 1975. Awesome. Thanks for sharing!

  • Wow! What a great job on this video! The quality is outstanding! Looks like he's playing at The Pony. Geez...I can't believe how great this is.

  • I've seen Paul Carrack twice and each time he's done a superb version of this Jackie de Shannon song!

Paul Carrack - When You Walk In The Room

and a live 09 version too!

  • S U P E R B version and just how it should be played. . . with enthusiam and full of energy!

  • What an AWESOME video! You're the best! :)

  • one of the best crowd vids ever. A great song - Bruce pulls this stuff out of his ear and nails it every time. Don't you love a 12 string Tele??

  • I do.

    Nice footage!

  • Wow! Great clip, great quality, very, very nice song!!! I'll go 'n' check "Tracks": if he sings a song I dont know it means it was in those CDs!

  • This wouldn't be on Tracks, it's a cover.

  • Very very unusual song!!!

    Thanks Bruce and thanks MagikRat!

  • I have not heard him play this since 1981?

Leave it to Bruce to make these last 4 shows memorable and special for the Philly and southern NJ fans! Still not too old to drive you outta your mind!

  • Thanks TheMagikRat. Did you shot the full show?

  • Sorry, I only record some of the shows. I like to get the rare and unusual songs.

I had focus issues this night because of the lighting and the drums behind bruce.

  • @TheMagikRat ,thanks alot for that great bit of music

  • Thumbs way up on this one!

  • Awesome video! Looks like Bruce was having some 70s flashbacks and really enjoying this one.

  • "Looks like Bruce was having some 70s flashbacks"

It was 1964 when the Searchers had a hit with this one! :)

  • nice!
