Bruce has not lost power in his voice. It may seem like that for you. But if you learn to listen to his voice (just pick another song from this concert) you may notice that Bruce has the talent to use his voice in different ways. Don't be fooled. But ofcourse any singer could have a bad day with his voice. If you listen well you could actually hear that Bruce's voice is very strong on this one.
To all of the critics..this was more than likely a one off by Bruce and the band by request with no rehearsal ( which on this tour they were very prone to do) Back off...its entertainment!!
Together with Elvis and Dylan, Bruce is the greatest of all time. So to all the critics out there: Take a hike to "shutty town" and listn to justin bieber
The BOSS does it again ! OMG that man will live on ! he is just awsome for his age ! i was a little girl when he started out ! and I still love his music! it has gonen better and better!! God Bless you Bruce! AMEN!
I liked the young Bruce, but i love!!!!!!!!!!!!!the older Bruce, what a awesome engergentic performance, i love this rendition of this 60s classic, he looks hes having so much fun with it!!!!!!!!! and hes lookin pretty sexy here as well!!!!!!!!
barneypip you are just obviously nieve. bruce is a super star and your opinion is worthless to anyone who has half an ear for good music. i guess you forgot to include justin beiber in your names of stars.
Well, this made me very happy! Been putting the original on a loop on Spotify for a week and here I discover that our Boss likes it too! Here's to many more years for Jackie and Bruce!
I love Bruce Sprinsteen, I'm a major fan. I love this song. I love Jackie DeShannon's version ( the woman wrote it before I was born) & so many versions are great from the writer, the Searchers, Agathia (ABBA), Paul Carrack, etc. But the best live version so far is Status Quo- check it out. Amazing.
What only Springsteen fans realize is that when Bruce does songs from the 50's and 60's in concert, he's PAYING HOMAGE to the artists that brought them to us originally, and his own music is very influenced by it. Just listen to Sherry Darling and if you can sit still through that song, check your pulse! Love you, BOSSMAN
What only Springsteen fans don't realize is that Bruce holds the music of the 60's like this one in such high regard, he's paying TRIBUTE for god's sakes! And his own music is very heavily influenced by it...just listen to Sherry Darling and if you can sit still through that song....check your pulse!!! Love you, BOSSMAN
anybody that says the boss is over rated, should never have the right to talk about music, the boss must be one of the biggest artists of all time,if you dont agree, stick to listening to the spice girls(PERIOD)

the searchers, yes, jackie deshannon yes, karla bonoff yes...the boss NO! THIS IS A HORRENDOUS VERSION OF THIS SONG. LIKE ALWAYS HE SOUNDS LIKE HE HAS SOMETHING IN HIS MOUTH WHEN HE SINGS. A VERY OVER RATED SINGER!!
@barneypip paul carrack does a great version. you have to understand the people who follow Bruce really think that he is some kind of God It's pretty pathetic, the hero worship thing. kind of sickening actually. I think he is a great talent but i'm not ready to annoint him the next coming of JC.
@barneypip You're right, of course. It's a terrible rendition of a wonderful song, and Springsteen is very overrated. Unfortunately, he has a huge legion of fans who can't be reasoned with.
When he was touring after the Rising album, I saw him together with my X-girlfriend at a concert in Copenhagen. The greatest concert of my life so far.
I 've loved this song for more than 40 years, and to hear it done by one of the most exciting singers ever---well, it just doesn't get any better than this.
The original by the writer of it, Jackie DeShannon will always be the masterpiece. The Searchers did a great job too. there have been other good covers. The thing that makes Springsteen's version unique, is that he not only preserves the song's style, but delivers the lyrics with his own knowing passion. I went to 3 out of 4 that week at the Spectrum and this is the one I missed. Oh well! Thank God for youtube and TheMagikRat. Great video, thanks. Check out the bricks of the Spectrum behind the stage. Man, I have some memories of that building. One of the best Bootlegs ever is the Bottom Line 8/15/75, the day BTRwas released. It had this song and "And Then She Kissed Me". The album cover featured a '78 era picture on an album recorded in '75. It doesn't seem to matter now. It did back then.
Tremenda canción. Y Bruce... ¡qué tío! Fijaos al final de la canción, se le ve tan feliz. 40 años en los escenarios y se le ve la misma ilusión de un principiante. Chapeau!
Leave it to Bruce to make these last 4 shows memorable and special for the Philly and southern NJ fans! Still not too old to drive you outta your mind!
