Hey. I was planning to get this game, but then i noticed there was also second semester as well.

Can anyone give me any tips on which one is better? or if they're the same, or if number 2 is just the same thing with more features?

Semester two is for advanced students that have completed thr first one, with 4 new lessons, as well as 4 mini ones. it has the same free paint mode, with NO added features. Both are 800 points, but relatively the same, just advanced lessons on the 2nd one. I cant really say which, but you should go for the first, since it shows the basics, and has more lessons. only get 2nd semester if you really like it, and are willing to pay another 800 points for only 4 new lessons, and the same free paint

That could be it, for you living in eurpore. I havent heard anything for a release date over that, which is a shame, everyone should experience this.

It's not out in Europe yet, but it just came out in Japan, so expect an EU release date announced very soon.

That still is sort of a mystery even over here, but supposedly it should be around the first quarter of 2010. But ve heard they dont want to put it on dsiware, but on a regular cartridge, which to me is odd, since it doesnt look like its a big enough game to do so.

yes, it is ^^ I play that alot, and love the msuic from it as well, and it seemed fitting for this. Yes, both semesters are 800, I wish the second was a little lower, for people that already bought it. but I got it anyway. Still working through it myself.

You know, there are some cool more advanced lessons in Second Semester too, although free paint is the same. Some good stuff now coming out on DSiWares. :D

I have yet to complete those, actually, but I will in time ^^ yes, I just got second semester, but havent had the time to really sit down and paint. It was kinda a shame it was another 800 points, but it is some of the only things worth the while on the dsiware shop at the time now.

yes, I did, with the app's help of course. It helps you learn all kinds of techniques, and with it, you can do this, and all sorts of other things, all on the dsi!
