For all of the people who say George passed too soon,I would say he lived 70 years and we(reasonable)people should be happy that we got to experience 50 years of his funny observations and dead serious insight.The only thing I regret is that he wasn't born later,we'd have him around right now at 55 years old(but then again maybe he wouldn't be the same person).In any case here in the US people are just becoming so polarized in their opinions and hostile with another again like the Jim Crow era.

@SinHarvester Nah,his wife died in '97and he remarried in '98.Don't get me wrong,I'm sure it did affect him but I think not that much.Plus he was really going strong touring more than 200 times a year up until his death.He did talkshows before each of his 3 HBO specials after his 1st wife died. You gotta remember George had a history of heart problems going back 2 decades, and it didn't help that he was on and off with drugs and alcohol. So we're really lucky to have had him for that long.
