  • I agree with you completely. I also prefer orcas to be in the wild, but what's done is done. The orcas are already in captivity, and most of them were born in captivity. People say release them, but you really need to consider the consequenses of actually releasing them. It's not as easy as it looks in Free Willy, which some might seem to think. I would love SW to have bigger and deeper tanks, but they really do take great care of the orcas and they love them with all of their hearts.

  • I appriciate your view. I'm a borderline person too, where I can see both sides of the fight. Thank you for seeing the best in a captive situation instead of trying to attack it and trying to "free" animals that would not survive for long. :)

  • Thank you so much for not being a complete idiot! I like anti-caps like you :D I don't agree with all zoos/aquariums but I LOVE SeaWorld :)

  • I do disagree that Sea World gives orcas the best treatment they can, however I'm against captivity completely because, physiologically, orcas don't hold out so well. They rarely live longer than 30 years, and captive born babies always die young. In the wild, they live upwards of 60 years or more, stay in one family group, and travel up to a hundred miles a day, and dive hundreds of feet in the water (this helps prevent the fin flopping). Also, captive orcas seem more susceptible to pneumonia.

  • @S0XF0X I mean I DON'T disagree that Sea World gives orcas great care. My mistake.

  • @S0XF0X wow 60 years how about that.(no sarcasm)

  • @menpen36 60 years is typical for males, but females can reach 80, though it's not as common as them reaching their late 60's.

  • Besides that, none of the "tricks" are really tricks. It's behaviors that the animals do on their own in the wild. Not a trick. They build off of the behavior to create a trick, but everything that you see performed in a show, the animal did on its own. The trainer simply was there at the right time, and was able to reward it. It's like training a dog.

  • To the people that are saying SeaWorld is a terrible place, it's not. They do a lot of non profit rescue work for animals. You may not like the entertainment part of it, but that's how they create a lot of their money. It costs them around 40 thousand dollars a day to feed all of their animals, and that is literally just food. They don't punish their animals for doing an incorrect behavior, and they LOVE each animal. The trainers apply for the job and genuinely love their animal. So shut it

  • they are so pretty and i love how they look when they swim!! =D

  • great video and if you notice the trainors always ask the Orcas to do tricks, they are never forced

  • My dream is to see Orcas in the wild, so beautiful.

  • @iberry Watch my other video. I think you'll like it. watch?v=aAqVgU9XJjQ

  • @iberry Me too. I did pet one on the snout at Sea World when I was 3 years old. One of the trainners where nice enough to let me pet the orca. But my main dream is to swim with the orca's in the ocean. :)

  • @Elodee123 You'll find no sarcasm here. :)

  • @thenarcissist93 Thanks for the no sarcasm in this comment. :) Happy days to you

  • @Elodee123 Yes, I read about that a few years ago. He swimmed all the way to Norway to die, right? Poor thing.

  • @thenarcissist93 Yeah, poor thing. Too bad he actually didn't get to "swim" to Norway, because that was where he was released and "lived" until released. Thanks for your sarcastic support. ;)

  • They are beautiful creatures. I've loved them since I saw the Willy-movies as a kid.

  • @thenarcissist93 Sadly the willy movie promoted people to demand the real "willy" that was in the movie to be set free too. Obviously, He didn't live long and died. Too bad too.. He was actually saved from a cruel aquarium in Mexico to be in the movie. Then people promoted him to his obvious death.. sad.

  • Look, thats what i mean.

I have seen 'free willy' and after i got obsessed with 'Killer whals'.

    Aren't than buiteful?

  • theyluk so much happyer there :/

  • lolita killed her self that just goes to show u how un happy they are but the thing is when whales are born in a pod the seek mates in that pd and they stay with eachother for life and lolita was older so to bring in another whale was to risky and they wont release another orca for a long time cause after keikos death they felt like crap! his death was 110% preventable they shouldnt have taken him out for human pleasure.

  • @MrHockeyplaya68 Keiko's death was after being released into the wild. Free willy actually saved Keiko from a horrible place in Mexico. Sadly he was released into the wild which was murder. Everyone knows he wouldn't have survived, and could've been a danger to other local orcas.

  • @MrHockeyplaya68 Lolita isn't dead.....

  • @MrHockeyplaya68 What are you talking about? Lolita isn't dead... at least not yet. FREE LOLITA NOW!

  • @NJLizS Then she will be dead for sure. Nice try though. Perhaps, move her to a facility that cares and has a huge tank? yeah. that'd be better than condemning her to an instant death.

  • @Elodee123 I was thinking more along the lines of a sea pen.

  • @NJLizS I agree, that's what the Navy utilizes for their Marine Mammals.

  • I also love Orcas too and completely agree that while Orcas should be in the wild, they are treated with great care at Seaworld. Thanks so much for the video (:

  • wow I Love this video thanks for uploading :D

  • Thank you :)

  • I have to say I agree with you , I prefer seeing the orcas in the wild but i'm not against captivity ecspecially at SeaWorld BUT i do believe that Miami Aqurium should free Lolita , how they treat her is abuse ! But wonderful video :)

  • Agree 100%!

  • @shezziecakes I totally agree with you too. I watched some video of poor Lolita and her tank is far far too small for her. If they won't release her they should make a bigger tank or transfer her somewhere better suited for her care. Being all alone must be hard.

  • @Nicheven I believe they should make a better tank for her, and offer her a mate. By no means they should make her suffer in a bath tub. They have the money. As for releasing her in the wild, She'd die almost instantly. in my opinion, that would be worse; It's murder.

  • @Elodee123 Yeah, unfortunately I feel the same about most of the captive whales. They just wouldnt make it on their own, even the little ones (probably especially the little ones as they dont fit into one pod due to being cross bred through different orca lines). It would be nice to see her in a bigger tank though for sure. When I watched the videos of her preformance I felt so bad for her, it looked like she was going to hit the walls!

  • WOW ! This is a great video ! I personally rather killer whales in the wild thats where they came from. I think for this video the song "Freedom" By George Michael would be a great song to play ! Thankyou for posting this video ! : D 5 stars !

  • Thank you! :)

  • Your whale video caught my eye, not realy sure 'bout all the old testament jargon, but you do bring up some poignant points, the thing about them that is troubleing to myself is the fact that the old law of the BIble all changed following the coming of Jesus. Anyhow I thoroughly enjoy the nature videos.

  • I could counter argue that comment but I won't really. I'll just say one thing: The story of Adam and Eve is in the old testament. So you must throw that out too if you throw out the rest. ;) Thank you for enjoying my other videos, Some people don't realize that since they don't have the same views as me doesn't mean they can't enjoy my videos about other topics. Have a wonderful day!

  • I'm on my iPod but this is meant for the poster of this video - just read your comment on the cruel whaling video and it's good to see somebody share my opinion also. :) you rock, keep ip the good work!

  • Thank you! :) Just so you know, I soon plan on making a whaling video. It will show clips of actual whaling (which most won't like) but it's meant to change the minds of the people who think it's just Japan's culture, and that some "need to make a living". Have a nice day! :) And thank you again!

  • Many Green parties are mobilizing against this practice across Europe, and some do not agree with you on the fate of whales and dolphins in these parks, especially the USA where money became law, and that sometimes life can be ensured for reasons of cost ...

Excuse my unforgivable English, I'm writing in southern France ...

    A bientôt...

    Do you have Skype?

  • You write very well, it's ok.

I'm surprised, I thought Arizona was hot all year long.

We have the same situation here: heatwaves in summer and a short but cold and wet winter, but we've no reason to complain about the weather.

Anyway, you live in a beautiful country, that has always captured the imagination of the french people (ah, westerns of the 60s), but scary too, with scorpions, rattlesnakes and the "Death Valley's moving stones".

    A big trip, for sure...

    An "Arizona dream"...

  • I have neither Skype or webcam, just MSN, that's enough for me...

  • You write WAY better than I do. In the winter it gets really cold in the morning (Some places have snow in the winter). But where I live it'll start cold in the morning then get about average mid day, but still chilly. In the summer it's never cold, You can walk out in the middle of the night and it feels like the sun is shining on you. :) Thank you, As you live in a stunning country also. Many people visit or want to visit France here. I plan on visiting sometime :D Do you know what Skype is?

  • Yes I know Skype, but I don't know how it works...

I think I need a webcam for using it properly, but I have none...

I don't like to overload my computer with too much programs, and without a webcam, Skype is useless, isn't it ?...

Maybe we could talk by MSN, which is more convenient for me, but I don't know if it works beetwen our two continents...

    It's up to you...

  • Skype can work between any country in the world, You don't need a webcam. Only if you want. Think of it as a free phone from computer to computer and you can also type messages. You don't need to get it, I just wanted to know if you had it.

  • Do not believe what is written in the advertising is the absolute truth ...

They are still held captive, and they are "prepared" for shows, which involves a system of "reward/punishment".

Whatever happens, it is unacceptable that such animals be held in pools, so deep were they!

  • The cage is made of gold, but it's still a cage.

They lie saying that animals are happy, it's only slavery by hunger, they are only properly fed when they begin to obey their "teachers' orders.

Would you like to become the new slaves of a circus run by a greedy and merciless group of cetaceans, that whoop in seeing you do somersaults while eating popcorn ?

In 2010, It's time to forbid those sickening shows and to close these jails !

Or perhaps it's only in Disney movies that Willy can be freed ?

  • They are not starved at sea world. Please, Do your own research. An aquarium might, or another park of some sort, But not sea world. And neither are the animals at sea world "Whipped" Yes, Those are at circuses. I don't understand why those aren't shut down yet. Try that first, then it'll make your goal in shutting down sea world more achievable in my opinion. I also agree, I'd rather see them in the wild, and any caught from the wild should be released.

  • God Bless Them I Love Killer Whales Their My Favorite They Make Me So Happy I Could Cry :.)

  • I feel the same way :)

  • Great video. About them being fed between shows, from my point of view thats not the point. Even regular feeding sessions are connected to signals given and obedience. So from the day they recieve their first fish, Orcas learn that obedience leads to being fed. Yet, during shows, trainers claim that orcas obey because they love them. Which is contradicted by the Orcas being fed after every few behaviors. Basically, trainers lie to the audience, thats what I dont like about sea world.

  • Well, from me personally being behind the scenes we personally fed many marine mammals without them having to do any behaviors. I know what you're saying and perhaps sometimes they do that so they don't stop doing behaviors for them. For example in the shows because they know that after the show they'll get fed again without having to do anything. thanks for the comment! :)

  • I like your screenname! My real name is Elodie, weird.

  • I thought up the name on my own, because i never heard it before. I use it when I play games (such as World of Warcraft) I have always found it pretty, and when I'm older and have a daughter, I want to name her Elodee, maybe I might spell it Elodie. Because Elodie is the correct way it should be spelled. You have a VERY pretty name!

  • Wow, nice work!

  • Thanks :) You should check out my other video i just posted. Btw, This was my first video :D

  • That's excellent, especially for your first video!!! =D

  • BEAUTIFUL! perfect song for it! OMG! This is the most wonderful thing ever, ORCAS!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for making this video!

  • Thank you :) Glad you enjoyed it!
