Finish up your undergrad work and apply to grad school at the University of Chicago (after taking a couple years off if you prefer).

Check out Harris Public Policy School, the SSA, or the PoliSci and Sociology Depts there.

There are so many polyglots there, you won't nearly be so conspicuous.

why would you get tired of those questions? obviously its not usual for non japanese to live in japan, duh i would totally ask you questions because its exciting. I live in the US, and its boring as shit as everyone decides to come here and i never ask people why they live US because there is only one answer. i wouldnt get annoyed, i would always be happy to tell people i live in a different country
