  • this show was terrible, a disgrace to Gene Roddenberry!

  • Well Done.

  • Its a rape of star trek lore.

  • this sounds like a classic 90s tv show intro

  • still sucks.

  • @Stalin111 NO one cares if u don't have a reason why it is bad then just shhhhhh... It is great

  • the best serie of Star Trek

  • Well done.

  • amazing!!!

  • Slight improvement. But then again, almost anything would be an improvement.

  • Nice. Works very well. I loved ENT regardless.

Titles sequences feel like a thing of the past these days. Especially on US TV shows. It's over and done with sooner. Which is a bonus for those haters I guess...

  • Have any of you read the description?

Because if you did you would know EXACTLY what this is... :P

  • i miss this show :( and this song makes me even more sad

  • Where did you get this instrumental from?

  • @Dragblacker I'm pretty sure it was the end credits for the first or second episode.

  • @Dragblacker - This was the "outro" music used for the first few episodes of ST Enterprise.

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry, I still hate this instrumental. Wasn't terribly keen on DS9 or Voyager really either. Enterprise just took the cake for sucky music - my wife and I always hit mute during the intro.

  • Perfect work, thanks

  • I lol'd at the end sound. The music all of a sudden cuts and a totally non-enterprise warp sound happens.

apart from that fail, all else is good.

  • I wonder how this would sound with a Space the Final Frontier over :)

  • Did you remove the vocals yourself, or was this version without vocals? I've been trying to find an instrumental version of the recording they use on tv, instead of an alternate recording, but I haven't been able to. So I was wondering if there was a way to remove the vocals yourself.

  • you know where the tng instrumental is?

  • I like it much better without the vocals. :D

  • Kindest regards from Peenemünde in Germany isle of USEDOM the home

of the first rockets and base of Prof. Dr. Wernher von Braun, father of the Saturn 5 moon rocket!

  • Try this then add Captain Archer saying "Space...the Final Frontier..." You know. That thing.

  • Star Trek is way fucking better than...reality itself. I'd give anything to fuck unlimited chicks in the holodeck. :P

  • uhgG3 HFEhvs uivhre8sb bwuv! bdyai vTAYEE nu uwsfauberbavb? unvdg, nuvb!?!? igbwuvc :]

  • Nice song but kind off a bit for the show all the other shows had a epic sound to there show them this one kind of made me think 7th Heaven more then Star Track still it was a good them just a bit odd for some one use to the epic scores from the past series

  • By the way has anyone else wondered what the ship is at 0:53? it looks like the rear end of an imperial stardesroyer, plus it also kind of looks like the enterprise that was first drawn up for the phase 2 series back in the 70's which was designed by ralph mcqurie who also did the disign of the star destroyer

  • I always thought it was a delta class ship you see occasionally in ENT. I heard it's the same type of ship Cochrane takes when he leaves Earth.

  • I think its one of those songs whitch you need the words in it to make it good.

  • Each time i hear the theme for this series, it just makes me soo dissapointd that it got cancled was a great show people just didnt give it a chance just had to bicker at tiny things, where overall it had a great cast and story and effects

  • I agree man. I saw every episode. i miss watching it

  • I agree but most of the stories from season one and two where lame, and i think thats why the show didnt do as well as it could of because people where tuning out due to the lack of things happening, if they had the right sort of stories then it would of been amazing like it was in season three and four when many coto took over as exec producer

  • @peterww777 Me too, the "alternate universe" episodes didn't really make much sense either, they just appeared and they stole the defiant (or whatever starship it was) from another universe and that was that?

  • @peterww777 Me too, the "alternate universe" episodes didn't really make much sense either, they just appeared and they stole the defiant (or whatever starship it was) from another universe and that was that? then jumped back to Archer starting the United federation of planets? Didn't make much sense

  • @DXMorpheus Yea i know exactly but i think as the series was cancelled they probably didnt get to show there version of the alternat universe which was a shame because i did enjoy those random episodes and the intro was a good spin on it aswell!

  • @peterww777 Paramount has a bad habit of canceling good shows

  • @StelarCF Yea i hate it when good shows get cancelled i just dont see the logic in it.

  • @peterww777 I mean the intro may not me as "trekkie" as all the other series but Its my favourite star trek series and it shouldnt be cancelled over something as small as the intro

  • @peterww777 I can only agree... This series just now got here in Europe but I saw the first episode... Awesome one and really don't like it's cancelled.

  • @peterww777 The first season, was mediocre, the second was good, everything after that was awesome (except for 'These Are the Voyages'. I mean, seeing Rker an Troi againw as kinda nice, but it just didn't...fit, with the rest of the series.)

  • imo instrumental version was better; the tune itself is so widely different than previous installments of trek including lyrics was just alienating the core audience.

though, in agreement with the post before me, Obama inspires hope in nobody with an IQ that exceeds their age.

  • Then you're a hater and a racist. Obama gives people hope and doing the impossible. WTF have you done lately Klansman??

  • lol whut

  • AnunC8, this is an awesome! I like what you did. :)

  • It just wasn't Trek.

  • The name of the theme song is "Where My Heart Will Take Me". This song was played for a couple of different crews of astronauts Such as the Atlantis which you do see in the intro which carried the STS-125 Hubble Telescope repair crew. That crew, among others, listened to "Where My Heart Will Take Me". If I'm not mistaken, all the missions involved U.S. I guess this intro used the music and footage of the crews who listened to the song along with all the ships Enterprise was named after +more.

  • great

  • The song that encouraged me to NEVER give in.

    I love this song.

  • this is a great enterprise theme and i agree new things keep ST alive. just look at the new movie, star trek was dying until JJ Abrams made the new movie.

  • to bad JJ Abrams version is a awesome movie... BUT its not a star trek movie. It;s sex and action for the kids

  • the original Enterprise intro is crap. It's just full of American Hero worship and nothing to do with Star Trek and a utopian civilisation which Roddenberry created. There's no Yuri Gagarin, no mention of Sputnik, nor the V2 which is what got america into space nor is there any mention of Gus Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee who died in Apollo 1 - these were the real heroes. It would have been better if they would have included these people in the credits and lost the vocal track..

  • Robbie, you are an idiot. The USS Grissom is an Oberth class ship that appears in Star Trek III and features heavily. There are ships named after various American and Russian spacefarers throughout the entire franchise.

  • name everything russian in the title sequence then!!!

  • I can only tell you why there was lack of Russian. The opening seemed to be commemorating the times the intro song was used, "Where My Heart Will Take Me", bc it was used in a few U.S. missions. I'm sorry Roddenberry can no longer have control over the series. =( It seems false to say it has "nothing" to do with Star Trek. I don't like how you try to separate the notion of any Hero from "America" with "real heroes". You're implying that any American hero (not just U.S) is fake! I like the intro

  • Well, it's obvious the Roddenberry's can't have control over the series when both Gene and Majel are dead, so anything with a "Star Trek" tag is based upon Gene Roddenberry's work.. but the point I am making is that Star Trek was a vision of a utopian society in the 23rd and 24th Century.. However, the idiot producers of Enterprise - couldn't hold onto this idea and use images of other countries achievements and pioneering moments which actually gave america a kick up the arse and into space.

  • Of course. I know, you basically repeated yourself. I will agree with you.

  • Well, I must admit, that I never liked Enterprise. But the Intro with the vocals, even if its not Trek-like, gave me a goose boobs when I first saw it (in positive way!), cuz you could see history passing by and the research bring mankind from water in the air and from the sky into space. It was great work.

  • Goose boobs?...

  • "goose boobs" FTW!

  • I like this better than the lyrics, but I would have personally preferred a full orchestral opening. For me those gave me more hope, and a feel of exploration. Then again, I've never really cared for lyrical openings for most shows! But good work put into the vid, and I'm glad you and others enjoy it!

  • I duno, its kinda nice with the lighter orchstrial version. It...WOULD..be intresting to see a full one however...

  • this is better than the original

  • i like this better than the one with singer actualy. they should have done this

  • whats the name of the song?

  • i belive this is the instrumental version of the original Faith of the Heart theme made by the original Russel Walton.

  • "Where My Heart Will Take Me" it's on his album Encore.

  • lol

  • Even though I disagree with you I value your opinion and understand it as you have the right to it. Therefore, I won't make a fuss as I respect your opinion like any reasonable human being should.

  • I love this song. Some people say it wasnt right for their to be a theme song with lyrics for star trek. I highly disagree. It's beautiful

  • i disagree, this is a good theme and song, but i don't think it really gives you that star trek feel (like the tng intro does)

  • yea but also i actualy think that this pretty much fitted the series as a theme lol bah who cares wether it didint apeal to TOS ok TOS is long gone but not the moments that TOS has put on for the TOS fans like those of the Enteprise series ok.

  • I agree it inspires me for hope in the human race!

  • Are you "not much like into" proper English either?

  • The beginning is really pretty but it gets a little grocery store at 0:28

  • this (the instrumental version) really, really reminds me of the opening to Grandia 3. It is so sad that game had the potential to be a great exploration type RPG and yet they gave it a cheesy generic Japanese plot :( Some people say that Japanese like to think outside the box, I believe they are not thinking outside the box, just thinking inside a different box than ours.

  • That said, there needs to be more shows similar to Star Trek, where they entertain but also make you think "what if" and make you think about the future.

  • It is a disgrace to the spirit of Star Trek that Sputnik, Yuri Gagarin and the like are not in this.

  • it's an american series.

  • hms enterprise was british

  • if any of you seen the ending cdrits of enterprise I might post a video responds if the owner get me permission to do it?

  • I like it...

  • Actually this instrumental was used at the ending theme on the first episode only, then replaced with the "archer theme" in later episodes. I never got to hear this whole song because when I watched it, the ending had someone talking over it or a preview for the next show. Thanks for posting it.

  • This was the second-last dumbest thing they did to maul Star Trek. The last dumbest thing they did was make the new movie, which will bring the franchise to its knees in fucking putrid desperation and utter disgust by the public.

Sad end to a great concept.

  • just as bad as the rock version. they should have never walked away from classical music.

  • i really like the intro the show used.

  • I also agree that the only reason people complained about the ENT theme was because it was vocal, when all other series had musical compositions.

  • I don't like this version because it sounds too much like elevator music. No, they neede to do something along the lines of Aaron Copeland's "fanfare for the common man", or the 8th movement of his billy the kid piece. "Were Diu Werit Alle Min" by carl orif fits rather nicely, as does Strauss' blue danube waltz.

  • Actually it sounds more like Rod stweart music or even it sounds like Areosmiths song i dont want to miss a thing

  • not exactly it will just date the show because rock music will change if someone watched this 50 years from now while intrumental will not change much in that time making it timeless...if they had to do a vocal song it should have been a better song lol

  • Instrumental is the bare minimum under all the skins of music that is Rock R&B and other genre of the musics.course alot more people will still see classical as better but in my honest opinion i like this rock because it has more soul then Instrumental than than classical it speaks out more and ofcourse probably only to my Generation only Some what like Jazz or R&B . Im pretty sure a lot of you couldn't give a care who Dean martin Ray charles or the Andrew Sisters are.

  • I love Dean Martin and Ray Charles and all that stuff like sinatra Louis jordan... i have nothing against that kind of music its just that it doesnt fit here

  • @eagle219406 exactly, only the music is beautiful, while that vocal thing just makes me feel of bad WMV angered youtubers oversounding bad music because of copyright infringement, the music itself simply is magnificent

  • I believe this show was considerably underrated. Many are saying that TOS had a lot of action, but I saw more action in one episode of this series than I ever saw in 3 of TOS.

  • How, du hast echt super gut das Midi-File hinter die Originalversion gelegt.

  • Google Übersetzer:

Es ist nicht ein Midi. Es ist die Instrumentalmusik der Aufnahme. Google-Suche, oder einen der Musik-Download-Programmen.

Suche: "Where My Heart Will Take Me" oder "Faith of the Heart", dann vielleicht "Karaoke" von "Instrumental".

    Viel Glück!

  • @AnunC8 Say what!?!?!?

  • eh NAW, good show, good intro

  • what we need is star trek show post-nemesis. why do they keep going backwards?

  • Because when the Great Bird said Trek should always be going forward, he didn't mean chronologically.

He meant in its exploration of the human person.

  • Just started watching this series, after it was cancelled and I've finally gotten old enough to see history repeat itself. Like TOS, this was also a good show, but VASTLY under-appreciated. Re: the theme song, it was new and refreshing, and yet it kinda fit in with the theme of the entire ST series'. Oh well. Thank god for DVD's. MANY THANKS for posting this. 3rd and 4th season theme songs were my favorite versions!

  • what would you dooo..if you had to give it up for freedom?

  • I completly agree with what you said in the description I wish it wasn't cancelled

  • thi's is my fav star trek intro (i'm serious!!)

  • I totally agree :D

  • Beautiful!

I much prefer the instrumental version.

  • Nice verision of enterprise if i remember this is the season 3-4 version of the opening theme .... Enterprise is nice even if it's not my favorite Star trek series

  • Nothing beats DS9. Garak, Quark, Dukat.

  • It's called Faith of the Heart. Composed by Dianne Warren and sung by English tenor Russell Watson. But I digress, it was originally sung by Rod Stewart under that title but now is titled "Where My Heart Will Take Me." On August 2, 2005, a recording of "Where My Heart Will Take Me" was played for the crew of the space shuttle Discovery as their morning wake-up call during the "Return to Flight" mission STS-114.

  • out of all the star treks this is my favourite one of them all. whats the song actually called?

  • Much much better sans the whiny singing. Grade A job.

  • I way prefer this version.

  • I would call myself a trekie, and I admit that I didn't like enterprise or the theme at first, then I started to get into it alot more. You should give it a chance. I would prefer if it would have been in a timeline set about a year after nemisis though, I think thats what ruined it for most people, it just did'nt feel like trek.

  • I never had a problem with the intro for Enterprise. I thought it was excellent. Fresh.

I don't understand the fans that hated the intro. You can't live in the past. We always have to move forward.

  • 'You can't live in the past. We always have to move forward. '

its what star trek is about isnt it??:P

  • I always liked this version. They use it at the end of Broken Bow. I think the instrumental version is as good as any Trek theme, it's the lyrics that spoil this song, they are quite childish.

  • this is not too bad really. But it sounds like elivator music.

  • I wonder if that's why Firefly didn't make it... words in a sci-fi series song (OMG). All the good shows get canned and make room for "reality tv" that drains the intelligence from our nation and leaves us with dangerous, media-hyped presidential candidates who (from BOTH parties) could care less about the Constitution and the freedoms that would lead to the advances us sci-fi loving nerds crave.

  • That was a good try. I agree the version with words is a lot better.

  • Outstanding! Wonder what the next franchise will be? "These are the voayges of...?"

  • I like it either way, but I think it would have been more popular with audiences this way. V. nice.

  • Much better with the words, though I like this also.

  • The song with lyrics worked. It was supposed to be about humankind taking a leap of faith and starting on the journey to the semi-Utopian Star Trek shows you're familiar with. It had to/has to start somewhere- and the show, the song, were representative of it- not classical; gritty and American, with classical elements. Sadly, much of the "enlightened" Star Trek community was too stuck in its ways to appreciate it, and now it's gone. Sad. I hope our drive isn't gone too.

  • Agree, I haven't followed Star Trek from the beginning and therefore I think this is the best intro to star trek, no doubt. It's really emotional.

I would've loved to see more of Enterprise, but the "hardcore"-community didn't like it and now it's gone :(

  • They tried making a new and fresh version of star trek, which really worked imo

  • Star Trek has always spoken best through MUSIC not lyrics in the intro's and even in the actual episodes/films in the way they blend the music in with the moment.

  • I disagree, take the intro of voyager:

it shows the pride of the vessel, the crew of the ship and the pride of starfleet and the journy.

so the intro of enterprise is not the only one.

  • I also liked how the voyager theme really had a loneliness quality to it. It captured their predicament. 8)

  • >>AnunC8:

I am not againts creating of new music, using new styles ane new ways how to create music, but it should be based on Star Trek music. For over thirty years it was like that. But what they created here...

But truth is, that this instrumental version is much more better.

Lyrics song as intro in Star Trek! I will never understand how anybody could do something like this to Star Trek.

  • I don't mind if you think it doesn't work, but I don't think it matters if there are lyrics in a Trek intro. I'm just saying the franchise is stale, and Enterprise tried, but failed, take make it young again.

  • >>AnunC8:

You are right about that new things can keep ST fresh, but this is not just something new, this is something absolutely different, what have nothing common with Star Trek.

As someone else wrote about that intro-song before me:

It makes me want to vomit, than eat my own vomit and than vomit again.

  • pretty good, but I think the one with archer saying tthe opening song is the best

  • Someone get me this instrumental version PLEASEEEE :(

  • nice

  • Man i totally agree with you.

  • Thanks. It's always bugged me when people say that the Enterprise into was just there to try and draw in the pop culture viewers. How many Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake fans do you think would watch Star Trek for that song? Well.... none. Now if they had those two do the into, then yes; I'd be complaining.

  • The sad thing about that AnunC8, is that is exactly what Enterprise was meant to do; it just failed miserably to do so, and in the process alienated a great deal of the fanbase.

  • Hey, I agree it failed on a pretty massive level. I hated it when it first came out. It's just grown on me is all.

  • same here Anun- its grown on me in the reruns.

  • I think I'd rather shoot myself in the face than here a version like that!

  • any one know where I can download this?

  • Well, considering I made it, I don't think anyone else has it. XD

  • LOL i meant dl th instrumental version.

  • lol Oh, sorry bout that... a temporary lapse into arrogance. XD Yeah, I'm not sure where I got it. I'm sure it's available for download somewhere.

  • hmm yeh i've tried but found nothing on limewire, are you sure you didn't somehow get this from the end of Broken Bow?
