  • nice job on the car, how long did it take you to build?

  • i just started messing around with inventor since i go to a tech high school, how long did it take to make that

  • I created this in the second year I used Inventor, it cost me quite a lot of time to draw, but you learn a lot by just trying things out.

  • did you design the inside, that is aweome either way

  • I didn't make a complete dashboard, just 2 seats and a steeringwheel, not much detail.

  • Wow, Autodesk Inventor Rapidshare Edition. : )

  • Students can legally download all Autodesk software :)

  • Nice shape, but you can get more fluid geometries working with surfaces. Inventor 2010 is now better in surface modeling.

  • Yes I know, but I didn't know how to do that 2 years ago.

  • how did you get that much money to get inventor.. its like 3000 dollers.. how u get it?? i need it for my ar modeling, but i cant afford that orice

  • lol just download if for free using torrents

  • yeah.. but i suck aty ripping torrents.. lol.. jk

  • well he might have gotten it through a company or school, since he did say it was a student project

  • ha it was put together really well aha

okay then, i was talking to an autocad instructor and he said it would be easier to use just plain autocad mechanical drawing, but probably because that just what he works wit the most. this can be learned quickly?

  • Autocad might be easier for you, but it all depends on what you're trying to achieve. If you want a 3D model so you can move around it and even animate it, Inventor is the way to go, but you won't be able to master it in one day.

  • epic intro - i swear i had to wipe a tear from my eye.

would you guys recommend using autodesk inventor for drafting more abstract things, say something like a lunar landing module? and if not what other programs would be better?

  • haha, tears :p

A lunar landing module... that won't be a problem, I think its the right software to use.

  • how do u add decals to curved surfaces because doesn't it only let you select flat surfaces?

  • nope... you can use 'wrap to surface' to apply a decal to a curved surface

or change the material type and insert a texture

  • dude, what song is this?

    good design btw. :]

  • The first one is from a Pearl Harbor trailer, the second song is: Foo Fighters - Learn to Fly

  • yeah good work... im going to be using this programlater thius year as part of my Gcse

  • awesome. i love using this program.

loved to have a career in computer aided drafting.

u really are a great designer.

do u do this for a living?

  • No, I'm still a student ;)

and I didn't even get paid for this.

  • so im guessing this is ur career choice?

  • haha, yeah designing things like this for a living would be great.

  • not a good idea if u planning to use the Autobahn, haha.

Well made, cool with the lambo doors, even though its not a sport car:D, u should ask "Smart" if they wanna produce a hybrid car or something out of it:D

  • Wonderfull! I'll put it straight on our website!

  • I know its all Dutch.. I could translate it here.
