Wow, search engines are so powerful! I swear, I completely forgot the name of this game all I knew that it was on the PS2 and I wanted to see the ending again so bad that I did a search of "PS2 Ending" on youbute and like 3 pages in there I found it HA!
This Last ending happened because you haven't talked with Dr. Angelicus.
After you give pure water to Eliza, you gotta redo the tower and talk with her (Dr. Aneglicus) at -1200 floor.
After hear her Story, an door will open at -2000, there you will find the ampules where the littles (the pain of God) are cultivated (like the Archangel said).
After purifying the Littles, you will have their Idea Sephirah, at -3000 you must give it to Alice.
See, I couldn't stand this game after a while! After going through that tower about 4 to 5 times and fighting in virtually the same dungeons....you get bored....you get tired. It's very redundant.
I mean, you shoot the chick at the bottom of the tower and you're met with an ending only to see a slight change in the grounds before going BACK into the tower.
Lame!
That's why I use this game to keep a table from tipping over.
Anyway, I haven't insulted those who loved this game, I merely stated that this game wasn't worth it in my eyes. I'm not one for shallow redundancy in my games. If it gets boring, trade or sell it.
I pretty much agree with you. In one of the last videos I recorded and still didn't get the true ending I got tired of playing it. The game was pretty neat though.

I think the movement of the story didn't really reflect in the actual gameplay very well as I was interested in the story, but the gameplay just wore me out.

If you shoot the absolute God, no matter how far in the plot you've progressed, it will only show that seen. Walking into her the same way you enter the Consciousness Orb triggers the others. At the earliest point in the plot you'll get the first one, and after discovering the Protagonist's backstory you'll get the third one. The "final" ending not in this video is from giving the Littles' Idea Sephirah to Alice at 2800 cubits, then finishing at 3900.
Except there are actually two identical protagonists that you switch between each time you get the "Who will die?" ending (and the "Don't go crazy" one). I call 'em Left and Right, since that's how the event list differentiates between them.

It's really quite long, the resets should be thought of more as new levels then the end of the game, each 'ending' you come across is based directly on your actions throughout that section of the game, so really its more like there are hundreds of levels based on your decisions. Alot of people think it's kind of dumb but really its an awsome concept... it just needs a bit of work.
Basically what you do in the game shapes the levels and the ending of the game it self. It would be an awesome game if it was less harsher on dying, and also if the fighting was better.
The creators went crazy. Because they had no idea what to do for an ending, so they just blew everything up.

I keep dying before I can get to the bottom of the 4000 cubits tower. =/ I'm hooked on this game though.
I can't find The Protagonist's voice actor, but I'm sure it's Ken from Digimon 02.

For the true ending, you have to restore the main's memory of the past, rescue the Littles and give their Sephirath to someone.
The true ending is really nice.

Yeah basically I did beat the game like twice and i got both the goddess ending and the one saving it too, but it is not worth it.
