I'd never had surgery before and didn't really know what to expect from the anaesthesia, but I dropped off before we even got to the countdown and it felt like dozing off for only a couple minutes. Afterwards I really did not feel much pain at all. I mainly just felt drowsy and not terrifically mobile. Not that that makes me any less nervous to properly plan a hysterectomy, cause surgery stays scary, but I hope that helps your nerves. Good luck!

@firewrecker Well, yes. The subtitles mention I'm on the phone with my dad talking about the surgery directly after. And my mom's walking around talking to family on the phone in the background of that part of this video. So yes, they did know.
I didn't have the top and bottom combination surgery. It seemed kind of a heavy set of surgeries to recover from in one go.
This is reassuring. xD Doesn't seem too traumatic. I'm going in for Top Surgery in two months, and I'm positively terrified.
