  • 7:04 you can almost hear them say "Yeah, let's DO this!"

  • that does kinda suck for chen, but they're iron chefs they should be able to handle anything thrown at them.

  • isn't this ingredient unfair to chen?? =3=

  • kaga! how dare you make the ingredient homard lobsters!!!! poor chen.... :_(

  • man I hate to see both of them loose i am a big fan of both Chen and Sakai

  • @PieFights even worse for them, they're both good friends in real life, play golf together. i'm actually glad they're not dramatizing that bit of the fight, it really is kinda personal, lol

  • the epicness brings a tear to my eye sumtimes

  • The brass theme during Kaga-san's preamble is regal and beautiful

  • man, I don't know who I want to win! I really like both Chen and Sakai (of course, Michiba >> them, but he's not competing)

  • nice.this 2 are the iron chef i like more.

  • I swear I started tearing up... RIP Kaga San

  • LOL i honestly thought kaga would take a bite out of that live lobster

  • Just so you guys know, every other Lobster battle Sakai had prior to this battle - he lost!

  • dang, another popular french ingredient. chen knew it!

  • as soon as chen saw the ingreidient he was like...." crap"

  • When Kaga said "The king of seafood" I was totally expecting Tuna.

  • the reverb is kind of different, but this is the greatest thing i have ever witnessed in my life.

  • @Radwalls xD where have u been all this time? Iron Chef Japan is Aweshum lol

  • 5:24 the chef's looks troubled...hahas oh my god..

  • i was thinking dun tell me that guy is going to have a bite on the lobster too

  • did chen just say the f word??

  • Comment removed

  • there is something similar to it, its just very very very SHIT!

  • I feel so bad for chen because french cuisine is more geared towards lobster. Even though I love this show- it seemed to be rigged many tmes.

  • definitely...lobster maybe called the king of seafood, sakai is called that very same name many times, his record with seaford is just ridiculous. too bad, i think if it was something neutral like chicken, chen could have bested sakai

  • Sakai already defeated Chen with chicken. Sakai is king for a reason.

  • u have it backwards. chen barely edged out sakie with a chicken battle

  • problem is Sakai has a horrible lobster track record looseing i think, 5 lobster battles with no prior lobster wins and Chen is extreamly good at cooking out of his element, that is why it was a fair battle.

  • at the end of IRON CHEF you can see Sakai thrown in the air by the kitchen staff in the japanese version

  • @TokyoX7 can i have a link to it? T-T i wana see!

  • Only one problem for Sakai. While Chen had not used this type of lobster before, Sakai had already done so up to this point-three times! He had won none of them, including losses to both Pierre Gagnaire (France) and Ron Siegal (San Francisco, USA). Sakai had more history, but an unfortunate history up to this point...

  • ita a fruit

  • chen looked like he peed his pants. haha poor chen.. yeah, its funny that a chef who's specialty is seafoods lost the lobster battle before.... but i guess in this one, he's in it to win it.

  • lol, did you see chen's reaction? he was like, "oh my god...." poor chen!! but he will do well anyways i know it!!

  • Biased episode... Homard Lobster is synonimous to French cooking

  • lol i thoght he was going to bite into the lobster.

  • that's exactly what I thought! While I watched Kaga staring at the Lobster, I was thinking: "please don't bite it, please dont't bite the lobster!" LOL

  • This is so damn exciting.

  • is bell pepper a fruit or a vegetable?

  • vegetable

  • fruit

  • Tomatoes and Peppers are both Fruits biologically, but culinary use is usually along lines of vegetables.

  • Fruit, actually. aaroncini99 is correct.

But in culinary, they can be considered vegetables.

  • yeah thanks arch.

  • Love these two Iron Chefs!

  • its like the superbowl of cooking. id pay to go and watch this !!

  • For those who said Sakai has an unfair advantage, I disagree. He lost every lobster battle, which is about 3 or 4.

In that case, it's not like Sakai will dominate the battle, so to that extent, it is a fair fight.

  • wow..ma-pon do-fu yummy yummy

  • How fucking unfair is that? Sakai's speciality is SEAFOOD! wtf?!?

  • ALLEZ CUISINE !

  • OMG did you see Chen-son's face when the chairmen reveiled the ingredient.

Chen was like oh f@*kin shit not lobster again

  • that's cause on one episode the lobster claw caught him by the nuts

  • Well, it certainly is showtime. I can't say which one will come out of this alive...

  • it was great to see them shake hands before getting the lobsters.

  • the superbowl of cooking

  • Such fanfare! Such royalty! It totally cracks me up that Chairman Kaga should come in on a white horse with American-style Colonial footmen... go fig. :) Go Chen! (but i like Sakai too)

  • They used lobster too much.

  • A part when chairman look at the lobster. Imagination if he do what Mr Bean did in Mr Bean Holiday :P

  • LOBSTER!!!! LOLS

    sakai went = "oh fark....."

  • bang a gong we are on.

  • Was he called son of the god?

  • "Sage of Szechuan" is what they called Chen.

  • Wow. Chairman likes Lobster, huh? Chen looks very conflicted. I think he wanted to battle outside chefs till the end of time but here he is battling a colleague and possibly a friend to end the show!

  • This one's for all the marbles!

    Ha, best line ever.

  • this is what differentiates iron chef america from the original. there's so much drama, and in this entrance alone, i had goosebumps all over! truly the best show there was!

  • Yea Iron Chef America is trash and should have never been conceived of.

  • you can see Chen's face goes "OH SH*T" when he found out its lobster, and Sakai's like "oo ya, something i'm for sure better than him"

  • I really don't think the theme ingredients is fair this time as Homard Lobster is very French, plus Sakai has never lost a seafood battle. and Chen's cooking style is SaiChuan, which is from a region of inland China, Lobster is not a popular ingredients in chinese cooking especially for cooking styles originated from inland region.

  • But at the same time, Sakai has lost every homard lobster battle. So Sakai will be haunted by the past experience, whereas Chen has no experience. Quite fair I think.

  • Like kensei1984 said, by the time of this battle, Sakai had lost every other homard lobster battle he fought. (Food Network in the US airs the battles out of order.) Szhechuan cooking does use freshwater shrimp, so it is not that hard to substitute the lobster. I thought Sakai had a much stronger advantage against Morimoto with red peppers. Chen also has worked with more challenging ingredients for him, like foie gras.

  • I wish they would have used something different too. Homard Lobster has been the ingrediant so many times (as well as japanese lobster and various crabs). I was hoping for something never used before (like Tokyo X). You can see it in Chen's expression that he has no clue what to do.

  • Sakai has lost several Homard Lobster battles in the past.

  • I love the collection!

  • Did anyone think that Kaga was going to eat the lobster alive, like he does some of the other ingredients? LOL It's very late, but I will watch Iron Chef!

    Thanks archo!

  • Yeah I was thinking. The way he eats the food he doesn't really look intellectual.

  • Thank you for the entire Iron Chef collection you've uploaded!
