@brandonr85 Some hedgies love chin rubs. One of my females does... Nala will climb up her cage for them. One female loves to be pet, one doesn't like to be touched but wants to be in your hands or to sleep on you. Hogs are very much individuals.

Meh. I'm dying of envy here! My first chinchilla was putty in my hands. My second hardly ever lets me rub his head, and his neck is totally out of the question. He likes to perch on my shoulder or snuggle up to me but he never ever lets me rub his neck. =(

I The pet store claims I must have frightened him, but I have no idea why he died. All I know is that I had to take an $800 loss. They are very sensitive animals.

@diesuessekleine also dass er nach 1 woche noch schüchtern is is ganz normal, aber am einfachsten bekommst du ihn handzahm, wenn du ihm ab und zu eine rosine oder ein stückchen getrockneten apfel anbietest, zu sowas kann nämlich kein chinchilla nein sagen. aber natürlich nicht zu viele, 2-3 am tag is eigentlich genug.
