It has nothing to do with race...remember Jin? He was known pretty well in the mainstream.. Shing02 and plenty of rappers of all races stay underground because they aren't obsessed with money or fame. Record corporations only look for rappers appealing to what sells..which happens to be materialism, guns, money, degrading women, ect. Most of the hip hop today is still going strong, its just deep, deep underground. Anything on the radio or tv called "hip hop" is watered down garbage.

Honest truth, you're too slow to keep up with his flow, too slow to comprehend the lyrics he spits, I'm pretty sure you can understand lyrics like, "i'm gonna buy my boo a nice car" or "in the club with these hoes" or "kiss me through the phone".
