what i would like to see is the Food Stamp numbers.. how many people are receiving Food stamps.. this would be a REAL number of people who are unemployed or under employed. these unemployment numbers are SO FAKE that it sickens me to see them.  especially when i'm unemployed and i am not counted!

@danratsnapnames Yea it is bad around here as well in N. Florida. I am really glad that we are retired. I know a lot of people with and without children who are having a hard time & many of them are professional types.

It pains me to realize that not even well-known American businesses including McDonald's and Wal-Mart are even hiring full-time [at least where I am, and probably elsewhere too]. Practically all of the hiring taking place at least here in the Ohio Valley is through temporary services, or if you're blessed enough to have a trucker's license or nursing degree, then you can get hired in those respective fields. Otherwise, nothing. I fear a horrendous economic collapse or depression is coming.

I KNOW this is a depression, and may be gradually but surely becoming the GreatEST Depression like Gerald Celente has talked about. After graduating from college, I was out of work for just over 11 months [not days, not weeks, but months] before I FINALLY got hired somewhere, and that was just through a temporary service agency too. I don't know what's going to happen to me afterwards if I get to stay on for the 6 months and then laid off.

@traingp7 The report that I read from the Census bureau did not say. I would think that is maybe before taxes, but since the report did not specify I do not know for sure. Still there are a lot more unemployed Americans than are actually listed.
