"Necesite que bebieras este" You cant use this like that. It makes it cave man talk! Basically when you say this you mean you need to drank that. What you have to say is necesite que beber este. Also for the people watching this video it is done in present imperfect subjunctive Which simply means that the command verb is the one that has a spelling change. You have to know the names of all the forms of the verbs when learning a language and when you use an que or an a after the conjugated verb.
The thing is, is that when there isn't a subject change in the second clause, you don't use the subjunctive. Uds. dijieron "Nosotros esperábamos que puediéramos vivir en colombia." No es correcto. Es un error muy común. Deben decir "Nosotros esperábamos poder vivir en colombia."
Thanks for the clarification. In the same vein, instead of saying, "Quiero que deje de fumar" (I want to stop smoking) I should say, "Quiero dejar de fumar."
That was soooo cool! I only wish that I'd discovered all this months ago when I was studying my Spanish language A-level in evening class. Unfortunately, I found the class such a ball-ache, that just before exams, I quit.
Keep up the good work. Informative and humourous!
@tlorebirth yes this is the endings for the ar verbs in past tense imperfect. Go to spaleon.com and click on conjugator on the top left middle list. You can message me if you need any help with your spanish.
